Dear Family and Friends,

Though you have not confronted me or organized an intervention, I know many of you do not understand why I dislike Obama, vote Republican, and joined the Tea Party. Y'all think, Obama is black, we're black -- so, what is my problem?

Dad told me that grandmother, 101 years old when she passed, cried when Obama was elected. I get that and totally understand. Still, I could not go brain-dead and hop on the elect-the-first-black-president bandwagon. As a matter of fact, I was stunned by how alone I was in considering who Obama was as a candidate and what he planned to do if elected.

I went to a Tea Party rally close
to where I live, in San Francisco.

There was a black conservative there
with us. There was also a communist black
on the other side who was creaming him
with the regular “Uncle Tom” and “House
N-word” stuff.

To that communist, it was not as big a
deal that the white Tea Partiers were
there, because, according to the logic,
we’re all racist anyway. But to the
black communist, it’s particularly
galling that one of their own race
would “betray” them in that way.

It explains why so few conservative
blacks are recorded in the polls.
Even if they vote conservative, many
won’t tell anyone because of the
constant, irritating barrage they
would get from their “friends.”

Thanks for the pic of Lloyd. He was the first FReeper I ever met in person - at a rally in Milford, Michigan 4 or 5 years ago. I had the good fortune of meeting Syncro a couple of minutes later at the same rally.
