You’re mistaken. The article is talking about the Texas State Guard, which is NOT the Texas Army National Guard. The Texas Army National Guard is a Federal Reserve force, whereas the Texas State Guard has nothing whatsoever to do with the Federal Government, the Federal Reserves, the National guard Bureau (NGB), or the Texas Army National Guard. The Texas State Guard is solely a separate state military force answerable only to the Governor of the State of Texas.

Wrong. This is the Texas State Guard, not a National Guard component. It can't be federalized like the National Guard can.
