My comment was based on his attempted murder conviction which resulted in him spending eight years behind bars. He should have remained in prison on that charge.
We bend over backwards to give criminals some benefit of the doubt. Look what that cost this officer.
If you make an attempt to commit murder, you did.
If I walk up to a woman and shoot her in the face and somehow she lives, should I be able to claim, “Well, after all, I didn’t really kill her?”
