This will come as no surprise to those who see higher education as a bastion of liberalism. An analysis of political donations by 614 Harvard University faculty, instructors and researchers over a period of several years shows that 84 percent of the nearly $3 million that was donated to candidates and political action committees went to Democrats. Nearly 20 percent of the donations went to a fund that supported both President Obama’s reelection campaign in 2012 and the Democratic National Committee (though Republican Mitt Romney got some cash too).
The analysis was conducted by the student newspaper, the Harvard Crimson, which examined filings made to the Federal Election Commission for donations made between 2011 and the third quarter of 2014. This story by the Crimson says that teaching/research employees (administrators were not included) at every one of Harvard’s individual schools made contributions overwhelming in favor of Democrats. That was true even at the school that is traditionally considered the most conservative, the business school, where 37 percent of the donations went to Republicans (the largest showing for Republicans among the Harvard schools over the three years of filings that were analyzed).
The student newspaper identified the inevitable question that the information raises:
The data supports the commonly held belief that Harvard’s professoriate is largely liberal, raising questions about the ideological diversity of the faculty and what impact that may have on teaching and research.

Not just Harvard, it would be nearly all the colleges in the country.
Many faculty think that the Democrats are their friends, and will keep the federal dollars rolling in (e.g. grants etc.). Ironically, federal funding for research took a big hit after Bush left office. What faculty don’t understand is that if the economy takes a hit, so does the federal budget, and thus so does their federal funding.
I’ve become demoralized and progressively cynical about how the world runs. I just don’t believe anymore that many people in the world are guided by principle. Self interest is the guiding principle.

You are like me then. I;m fed up of the all about me attitude where people will use vendetta’s, lies, and cheat to get their way. I’m fed up of the feely good types where even on FOX just now they showed a woman soldier falling down on a fitness test but got up and struggled.
Hasslebank and others were all saying how can you top that, how great this woman was.
Well having been in a combat unit that now means I would have to get two guys to pick her up and carry her kit because she is struggling thus it put more lives in danger.
Still at least the FOX hosts feel good without having any experience what dangers she brings.

That’s all a leftist has to do to be superior in their own minds, just “care”, oh, and constantly show how much they “care” by escalating their reasons for moral outrage and spending other people’s money or otherwise putting the onus on others to show how much they “care”. Mighty convenient to be a leftist.

They want it their way and both ways all the time.
They want the law to be upheld when it suits them. They want equal rights when it suits them. They want honesty and the Constitution when it suits them.
But they “care” and have sensitive “feelings”, so it’s all copacetic. (I have seen the facial expressions of these oh-so-sensitive types when they oppose something, especially when they oppose whites, males, Christians, or normal [heterosexual] people, and the only expression which comes close to the absolute hatred and desire to inflict violence upon their opponents, are those of jihadists.) I have yet to hear of a conservative demonstrator ripping signs from the hands of 5 yo children, as the left [SEIU, in this case] did without apology.
