The Hawaii Legislature has passed a bill that could make it a lot easier for transgender people to change their gender on their birth certificates.
Right now, people in Hawaii are required to undergo gender reassignment surgery if they want to make that change. But the state House and Senate approved a bill Tuesday that removes the surgical requirement, sending the bill to Gov. David Ige.

why not leave it blank..and make the “document” out of material that can easily be written on and changed as frequently as the user wishes to “change”... it’s “gender “?
They can play all the games they want with this, but DNA doesn’t change.

We learned a few years ago that Hawaii birth certificates are worthless anyway.
So is Obama gonna get his updated to reflect his status as "World Class P****"?

I want to change the date on my birth certificate. I am actually 25 years younger than I actually am.
Then I can get a job that I am currently too old for.
What you just read probably makes more sense than being able to change the gender on your birth certificate. YMMV.
Well, I want to change my birthday, since that is how I identify. Make it 20 years later, and put it in September, because that’s when the weather is the nicest here.
