Did he not have a good buddy who was his best frind in college that was gay? Yes he did. Did he not skip out on a vote to go visit two gay friends in Texas? Yes he did. I know the truth hurts but that can be reality. It always isn’t pretty.

He made a man who denied him three times the corner-stone of His church. This does not mean that what came to be Catholicism did or didn’t remain His church, but Jesus knew each of us were sinners, and He loved us all.
In my high school boarding school, there was an effeminate young man there. He was a loner and was simply going through life trying to be a good person. I don’t know if he was a homosexual or not, but I treated him decently and would have been his friend if he needed one.
This would mean to you that I was a vile person and unfit to hold higher office.
I don’t approve of homosexuality. We have people who are homosexuals among us. We either treat them decently or we devise ways not to. I’m not going to hate people because I disagree with their life choices.
If they are cordial to others and respect others, I will respect what I can about them.

That seems a reasoned question Norm. I will admit though, I am also sensitive to the question of why I am focusing so much on Walker, if I’m a Conservative. He has done good things.
I don’t believe Conservatives have to lie to get elected. In fact I think one sure fine way to tell if a guy is a true Conservative or not, is if he lies or not.
I don’t see Conservatives lie. If I do, I soon see them doing other things I don’t approve of, and generally it all goes downhill from there.
I would say that Walker running to the USCOC for his first port of funding call pretty much tells us all we need to know. The COC is Pro illegal and Walker 180’d on the issue once when the wind shifted. He will thus 180 back once elected. He cannot be trusted. Ever. His actions are what they are.
When Walker was asked if illegals paid a penalty, could he see a way for them to transition to Citizenship, and he said a way could be found, that was a 360 or perhaps more accurately a 0, not a 180.
That’s where I’m coming from.
Then when he claimed he had changed in the same interview, it destroyed his ability to claim later he had changed.
It would have been far better for him if he hadn’t claimed he had changed in the interview. Then he could have claimed he did that later.
Now he can’t. Having already claimed to have changed when he hadn’t, it destroyed his ability to claim a later come to -—— moment.
Walker really screwed up in that interview.

I agree with your take on this matter. It does seem odd that the Walker camp seems to relish insulting Reagan and Cruz, so their guy will look better.
Along the way they’ll be more than happy to provide the DNC with as many talking points as they can to destroy other Conservative’s chances on the way to November 2016.

I am looking at it like this. A guy at one time, claims his version of amnesty is great. He then goes nuclear on -Legal- immigration (getting a lot of freepers on one thread to spout classic Democrat anti-immigration lines in the process...interestingly, his supporters here). To me, that’s a 180, at least in a big picture sense. It’s classic Double speak. He is holding two opposing positions and believing both to be true because he never truly abandoned the first. ‘Immigration is Bad for America but lets only allow the worst parts of it’ is provably what his current position actually is.
THEN he goes to the people only exceeded by LaRaza/MeCHA for their desire to get illegals into America to fund his campaign. This is a Monty Python skit, not an honest man.
Now IMO, he’s either a liar, schizophrenic or REALLY bad at actually believing in something...none of which are desirable in a pol.

That is what he is doing.
They lie, and are allowed to lie freely and openly. The reason they lie is because they detest conservatism. If they didn’t, common sense says they would not trash it, conservatives, and rewrite history to rebrand what ‘conservatism actually is to fit their liberalism.
As to why they have an open forum to do it, I can’t say with accuracy. All I know is that we all see it clearly.
Anyone that looks at his actual actions, and the order they occurred in, will be hard pressed to deny it. It is what it is and it’s right there in the open. All people have to do is take off the Fox Mulder glasses and it jumps out at you.

A few of us see it and are willing to harp on it because most Freepers don’t want to upset their online friends. They prefer to defend their online friends rather than conservative values or their country.
