The steady stream of cars, reported Benedict, represented the people who not only wanted to be gun-free but also people looking for the gift cards credited to the generosity of Ralphs.

EBT supplement cards at Ralphs? So, how much in tax dollars was wasted on this "buy back" scam? If tax dollars were expended in any way, I'm thinkin' the law abiding citizens of the area should get some sort of "payback". Maybe in the form of a firearm of their choice from the "buy back"?

Lemme guess, criminals and ISIS and Al Qaeda also cheerfully participated in this as well?

Since they don’t check on these guns, one has to wonder how many are stolen. I’d bet MOST of them are.

The street value of anything that can shoot halfway straight is more than the food stamp card So these are mostly throwaway or broken guns. Also, the Los Angeles metro area has over 22 million people, not including probably millions of illegal aliens. So a couple hundred participants is like a grain of sand on the beach. Inconsequential. What this clearly shows is that Americans are not going to give up their arms - at least while the best gun salesman if all time is Occupying our White House.

How many of them were followed by thugs back to their now unarmed homes?

These gun turn in programs aka “buy backs” only work in places where private sales have been banned, like California.

Where private sales have not been banned, private buyers compete with the “gift cards” and destroy the political theater of the “buy back”.

Here is another method that is being used:

“one has to wonder how many are stolen. I’d bet MOST of them are.”

Undoubtedly. Anyone see the scoped revolver lower left corner of the display table. Looks like a blued Freedom Arms 454 Casull. They go for around $1950+ on Gunbroker. Retail for around $2700 without the scope. Someone got a whole $100 Ralphs card for that. A $100 will buy a lot of malt liquor at Ralphs. No one in their right mind drops that for $100. Want to bet that revolver quietly finds its way into some LAPD officers gun locker when all is said and done.

Good job comrade citizen. Keep up the struggle to rid us of the scourge of the demon metal. Together into the future for the children. The revolution demands it.

Did the city hand out signs reading “This house is gun free” to everyone who turned in a gun? Also did they post all the names and addresses to the net?

“This house is gun free”

Don’t laugh! Some idiots back in 1968 did try that during the riots and after the murder of Bobby Kennedy. They placed signs in their window that read..”THIS HOUSE IS UNARMED.”

It didn’t last long.
