I’m sure they’ll call it a “mistranslation”, or they’ll say he’s not a real Catholic. Well if he’s not a real Catholic, then why aren’t phone banks being set up by real Catholics calling their Cardinals to stand up to the Pope.

Is he really that invincible to regular Catholics?

I said a long time ago this communist POS would eventually come out and declare that Jesus was merely a metaphor. Just watch. He has not yet begun to dismantle Catholicism and Christianity.

And he isn’t acting alone of his own accord. The entire church leadership knew this guy, knew what he was about, and installed him into power. Because they are just like him.

I don’t think you’ll find many Catholics on FR (I’m one of them) arguing in favor of this Pope and in particular of this decision.

And nobody thinks he’s invincible. You might be confusing it with infallibility, which only applies when the Pope is speaking ex cathedra, which has only happened twice since Vatican I (I, not II).

He does that, and Evangelical Christianity is going to get a lot more members here in the US.

As well as a bunch of hospitals and schools to run...

Better get your leadership to start the groundwork for it.

Look at the moves to date. The leadership of the church is ‘progressively’ X’ing off a pretty specific list to better integrate Catholics with a UN centered agenda. And they are doing it using Jesus’ name.

“Jesus would have this...” Or “Jesus taught...” that. Everything these guys come out with is either a contradiction to what Catholicism taught for well over 1000 years ir a ‘clarification”. ALL of it is in reality contradictory.

If ‘Jesus” were to just go away and simply be a metaphor, then that metaphor could tell the faithful anything the Vatican wanted without all the icky things that cost money to overcome and interfere with an orderly transition to global socialism (AKA Communism.

Just this week we went from the Dogma of God giving the earth to man, to the Dogma of radical environmentalism as core to church teaching.

Cloward Piven folks. Overwhelm the system. Hit people with so much, so hard, so fast that they can’t process it all. Thats whats happening here.

Jesus WILL be declared a mere metaphor. Bank on it.

They want to close schools because they get more money catering to the aging bingo crowd in the short term vs. investing in education....

The Romans named it Palaestina after crushing the Shimon Bar Kokhba revolt around the year, 132. The Romans did so for the purpose of erasing Jewish identity from the country (previously called Judea) and trying to own it. The Romans continue to propagandize and use diplomats to do the same.

-—Vatican knows that.” Are you sure? Has the Popester ever actually recognozed Israel? I don’t actually remember that happening. Will the Popester be doing queer marriages in the new land of PLO?

On ownership of Jerusalem, Israel and who will be allowed to live there.

Isaiah 43:11

Zechariah 14:9

And there’s been no change in that promise or any other policy.

Malachi 3:6

Anyone who rebels against that is the worst kind of rebel.

If they have a problem with the borders of the land given to Israel, they have a problem with the One who gave it.

Good luck with that. They won’t come to good ends.

Exactly...they’ve stepped into very grave, very scary territory, indeed.

That’s nice.

But according to Shariah law, non-Muslims can not sit in judgement of the Believers.

>>I thought the church had learned something from their experience with Hitler 75 years ago but if so, this Pope seems to have forgotten it.

No he hasn’t. The “experience” was bad only because history remembers it. National Socialists are Socialists too. He just hopes that the near future will bring a world where there are no non-socialist nations and, therefore, no one to write the history of the coming global socialism.

Exactly. Defenders will say the pope “actually” said the exact opposite.

I’m curious, when do we know that a pope is speaking “ex cathedra?” When he says he is?

I suppose I might get flamed for this (oh well I’m about to hop in my car for a 2 hour commute home) but:

Isn’t it better for the Vatican to have diplomatic relations with a (yet unformed) Palestinian “state” than the known terrorist organization called the “PLO”? I would think such a switch would be applauded.

The Vatican is ceasing diplomatic ties with the PLO and establishing new ties with a (now) non-existent state. This means the Vatican no longer recognizes the pLO as anything worth recognizing and, in addition, hasn’t recognized anything exists as far as the Palestinjan “state” is concerned because the Palestinian “state” doesn’t exist yet!

But maybe I’m missing something. I’ll read the flamage when I get home.
