My KY Guard units were on alert for possible DSCA support, if the city burned. Thankfully, it never did - because we simply weren’t prepared to deal with a city-wide riot in KY, let alone across the river.
I was keeping a compendium of FR threads on the subject during that time. Of course, those threads are all on the old FR database, so you have to use archive.org to view them, which is a pain.

No, not the local or even state cops - this will be Obola’s Federal alphabet units directly under the Executive Branch’s control - backed up by the Touton Macoute coming out of the urban kraals...
Without the cops...they don’t have enough people. The Feds tried at Bundy’s ranch but discovered the PEOPLE(!) had all the feds out numbered and they had to leave skulking away!
Millions of people with millions of guns...(not to mention what a freedom minded people can invent in their basements and garages)...The Feds don’t have enough people and they can’t trust the military to pacify the people. Yeah I guess they can destroy the currency and try to choke people economically...but a freedom minded people can reform the government, reject previously noxious treaty arrangements and start over if they had to.
They will eventually move into our homes, and we will be powerless to stop them. They will rape our daughters and we will be forced to look on approvingly.

Oh, they’ll arrest people. Conservative people who comply with law an order. Just as it’s easier to write traffic tickets than stop drug dealers, they’ll go after the easy marks.
I’m tellin’ you - they’ll go after the “preppers” and leave the criminals alone.
There was another book that was set in just such a politically correct society,
but if I mention its actual name, the post gets pulled.

I read it and have been pushing it as on of the books you(whoever you might be at the time) must read to understand where we are.
From what I saw and read, the cops were harassing and grabbed 14 year old girl because they thought the 7 year old in her care may have pushed an alarm box button.
They got back in their car and were ready to leave, as no crime had been committed. Then the 14 year old girl challenged their authority by asking the cop who grabbed her for his name and badge number. Then the tough guys bravely went after her for her uppity-ness.
These agents of the state don't like when a citizen asserts their rights and I stand with the crowd who told them to eff off and leave the little girl alone.
In my town we don’t have any of this crap, maybe “not yet.” It is not a small town any more but we have a Constitutional Sheriff and the police in the various departments don’t do any random stuff. A couple of years ago two dogs were shot when it was a fad nationally for police to shoot dogs and both town police forces were prevailed on by the sheriff to fire the officers who shot the dogs. Now they get training in how to handle dogs. The Negroes are pretty much just part of the population and have a parade and chant “Freedom Now” every MLK day. They then go home and go back to work. The in-your-face crap seems to be reserved for the WalMart and exists there because WM itself tolerates it, doesn’t permit shoplifters to be stopped even by the hired security guards.

This is confined to the urban kraals for now, complete with wall-to-wall media coverage.

Camp of the Saints is a brilliant and disturbing book. The only real problem with it is that Raspail misidentified the major threat as the poor of SE Asia, rather the muslims from the ME and North Africa.
