In a speech in South Korea, Secretary of State John Kerry said that the Internet needs heavier regulations to “be able to flourish and work properly.”

Touting the Obama administration’s new policy on the Internet, Kerry insisted that without strict government regulation, the Internet could not reach its potential, and he couched his comments as a way to respond to threats of cyberattacks.

Kerry claimed that his “universal concepts” and “five principles” were necessary to protect the world’s Internet:

Kinda like the lyin' king saying that the news media needs to be restructured so it reports "properly". Time for the stenographer of state, john f'n kohn-heinz-kerry to sit down and STFU. Doesn't he need to go kite boarding or something really important?

If you read his principles, they make sense and don’t seem to relate to restricting speech — they relate more to malicious attacks on internet infrastructure, which seems like a good idea. However, once the government gets its hands on something, we all know what happens.

We need stronger regulations for politicians so they don’t want to do stupid $hit like telling us they want to “fix” the Internet when they really want to control it. The idiot doesn’t realize we see right through him; that he’s the puppet that Obama has to chosen to deliver the message to the crackers so we don t get upset hearing it come out of his mouth. Just standard m.o. for the decepticon in the white hut

Hey John f’n Kerry:

I’ve been using the Internet since 1997 and it’s always “worked properly” for me.

You gvt types just can’t stand it that something as wonderful as the Internet can exist without gvt interference.

Yes. The Internet is speech, and a form of “assembly”. They have NO RIGHT to interfere with it.

Kerry is in strong competition for “Master Cretin”.

Thus far, he is far, far in the lead.

Government intervention guarantees restrictions on cyber traffic that will diminish the web to the point of worthlessness.

Anyone else surprised that with the world going to hell in a hand basket, Lurch has the time to talk about THIS? Like, what does being SecState have to do with it?

Unless, UNLESS..he thinks that Hillary might not make it to the nomination?

Here’s a loathsome moron who has never worked properly in his entire worthless life.

He and his ilk (legions of them starting with Skeeter Mommyjeans and working the list down through the ranks of the entire damned political class and government lackeys) are what will finally cause the downfall of the current corrupted government.

If it comes to a revolution against the corrupt central socialist government headed by a true Franco-style strong man then Kerry and Krew need to remember what Franco did to his enemies after the Spanish Civil War.

Democrat/Pinko Commie never sees a regulation they don’t like. Regulations are so much easier to put in place than actual laws which have to be voted on.

If ever there were better proof of God’s grace on this nation, I can’t imagine what it might be, off hand. Our continued survival with such venial and spectacularly ignorant people representing us to power; it’s miraculous.

The American hard Left would rather shut down the entire Internet than be forced to endure free peoples making free political commentary.

And they’re doing their level best to do just that - shut it down.
