The director of Marquette University's Gender and Sexuality Resource Center is no longer employed by the university, the Marquette Wire is reporting.
The move comes after the university quickly removed a mural on campus that had generated outcry over the weekend because of its subject: a woman on the FBI's most wanted list who was convicted in a New Jersey state trooper's 1973 murder, escaped prison and fled to Cuba.
The mural of Assata Shakur, formerly known as Joanne Chesimard, has been on display at the Marquette Gender and Sexuality Resource Center at least since March.
"Susannah Bartlow is no longer an employee with Marquette University," university spokesman Brian Dorrington said in an email to Marquette Wire. "We will work with the Center's advisory board to search for a new director so that we can continue to grow the important programs in the Center."

Picture of Susannah Bartlow available? Just wondering if she is one of obummer’s children.
They should dump the Gender and Sexuality Resource Center while they’re at it.
Check her job application (and college apps, and student loan apps) to see if she checked any “special snowflake” boxes.
Exactly! Then they won’t need to waste money on yet another useless “educator”.
Tried to post her picture directly, but it kept oinking at me! Unfortunately, she’s white, well sorta white!
My mother, who insisted I go to Marquette, is spinning in her urn.
Thanks for putting your machines through this abuse. See the little round blue marks on her? Those are ten foot pole marks!
OMG!
She looks just like the lady Shrek, except she's not green!
Reminds me of a “white version” of Gemoooooo Greene, the “black female balance” of “fair and balanced” on Fox News. The neck scarf is a “real show stopper!”
Yep, proves Rush’s theory.
