Thats a very moderate proposal. I have a better one.
Make the objective closing the government schools. Every. Single. One. I realize that it isn’t an objective that we’re likely to see happen in my life, but let’s make it the objective. Something to strive for. A worthy and laudable goal. The government schools, seen as a “free” service by those who use them, are not valued by parents. You value what you have to scratch a check to pay for. The educators who are worth a darn will be picked up in the private sector.
Let’s also make it an objective to ensure that all children get a private or homeschool education. Charity is the way to do that. Charity and reduced taxes.
Let’s take it one step further. Closing government schools should be accompanied by the elimination of all compulsory education laws.
