I remember around 1956 or 1957 the news media portrayed Castro as a heroic, romantic freedom fighter. I even wanted to take my .22 Remington and join him.

I remember something else. There was a group called, “The John Birch Society” who claimed he was a Communist. I had never heard of them and still don’t know much about them but they were the only ones daring to tell the truth and I am convinced the media knew all along.

He didn’t kill as many as Mao or Stalin but he didn’t have as many to kill. Percentage wise he was pretty evil.
