Once and for all time... when you lie, you become a liar. Barack Obama chose not to tell the truth, repeatedly, before and after his election.
Trust is a fragile thing, since it can only be bolstered and strengthened by a reputation and history of honesty, in all areas. Lie once, and you put everything you have ever said or will say, or sign, or do in doubt.
Lie repeatedly, and you sacrifice any pretense toward “transparency” and you are not owed the benefit of the doubt.
For our president, there is no trust left, none. Worse, if he does mix the truth with his standard lies, you take away even the certainty of the negative interpretation of his words. One cannot believe anything he or his associates have said or might say, and you are even in doubt of the opposite of what is said.
What this country needs to adopt is the British Parliamentarian tradition of the “No Confidence” vote in the houses of legislature. Obama would have been sent packing before his third year in office was over. Instead, we have this politically insurmountable and impossible remedy of impeachment.
Perhaps George Bush would have gone down also, but that is the breaks. Essentially that is what we got in 2006, and it has led to potential disaster, and perhaps its reversal. If there is still time left by 2016.
Also when someone claims to never lie, they lie right there. They might have not lied at a certain time and point
