R&B, soul and hip hop singer-songwriter Lauryn Hill officially announced on Monday that she was cancelling her planned show in Israel, scheduled for May 7.
In a statement on her website, Hill wrote, When deciding to play the region, my intention was to perform in both Tel Aviv and Ramallah. Setting up a performance in the Palestinian Territory, at the same time as our show in Israel, proved to be a challenge.
Ive wanted very much to bring our live performance to this part of the world, but also to be a presence supporting justice and peace. It is very important to me that my presence or message not be misconstrued, or a source of alienation to either my Israeli or my Palestinian fans. For this reason, we have decided to cancel the upcoming performance in Israel, and seek a different strategy to bring my music to ALL of my fans in the region, she added.

Don't know why this article has shown up so late. It's really out of date. But the idiocy of Lauren Hill's reasoning is timeless.

Setting up a performance in the Palestinian Territory, at the same time as our show in Israel, proved to be a challenge Mostly because they won't stop throwing rocks at any person or vehicle who enters the so-called Territory.

Also because her music doesn’t sound like the Muazzin’s call to prayer.

Too bad maybe the fakestinians would think she was Israeli and stab her with a knife, or run her down as she walks on the sidewalk with a car like they have been doing the past year.

Well, then, you self-impressed moron, maybe you’d better forget the Palestinians and concentrate on a concert for the Israelis. You know, those people who are always the first to show up worldwide to help out after disasters occur, like the Nepalese earthquake?

Nazis or those that try to equate Jewish rights and survival with islamonazi aggression and terrorism -— should stay the H away from Israel anyway. Whoever this performer may be — they’re not needed.

Hill: It's a problem, for sure.
Agent: A steady decline since -
Hill: I know, I know.
Agent: Frankly nobody knows who you are.
Hill: It's because of these damned Jews in the music business-
Agent: Not only did they kill record sales-
Hill: It's time to hit them where it hurts.
Agent: The pocketbook? A Strike? Lauryn, if you stopped singing today nobody would notice.
Lauryn: No, I mean Israel. Let's set up a concert then cancel it, like Pink Floyd did, like all those other guys did.
Agent: Brilliant! That way you could get noticed again! Heck nobody knows over 20% of Israel is Arab/Moslem. Let's go with the "apartheid" routine!
Lauryn: Bingo! AND we make the Jews look bad!
Agent: Awesome! Look at what they did in Ferguson, look what they did with Katrina... The American people have had enough of those Jews.
Lauryn: One problem - I can't sing.
Agent: You never could! Just roll with it, babe! Keep on truckin'!

Setting up a performance in the Palestinian Territory, at the same time as our show in Israel, proved to be a challenge. Because she wants to survive the concert...but won't tell us that.

Did she refuse to convert to Islam, or submit to a gang bang? No wonder, then.
