Demographically it is < 1% of the total population. Regionally the south, midwest and southwest will contribute the most. The ethnic make-up will mirror the population of the US (despite the mantra about the poor black kids doing the fighting).

I wonder how the "yes" responders define "support"?

Less than 1%. I guess it’s like asking the general public if we should raise taxes on the rich.

People curse ISIS daily for the evil things they do. And they say Obama has blood on his hands because he isn’t doing anything about it. But often the same people who say these things also don’t want us go there and fight them. “We shouldn’t get involved”, “it’s not our fight”, “we aren’t in the business of defending a religion (Christianity)” etc. etc.

“I wonder how many are going or sending their kids.”

This is what galls me. Many families lost children, fathers/mothers, husbands/wives in taking Iraq (and many were permanently and grievously injured), and this administration (and it’s supporters) just let it all slip away into the hands of an even crazier and more hateful enemy. Now we are getting to the inevitable point at which we will have to fight again - under worse circumstances. Should more have to die or be hurt because of the incompetence and unyielding ideological zeal of those who let this mess occur?

NO!!

The correct way to deal with this is supply the opposition, if there is any, and make ISIS miserable.

There should be a cruise missile, drone, and bomber campaign to reduce all their parades and caravans to smoking rubble.

There should be nuclear missiles targeted at Mecca, Medina, Tehran, Kabul, Damascus, and all the other Islamic hell-hole capitals with the express warning to all Muzzloids that, if there is a nuclear detonation anywhere in the United States, a failsafe launch will be immediately conducted that will reduce those targets to smouldering, radioactive craters.

Ground action is a bad idea. Rules of engagement would be too restrictive, we would not be going for a total win, we haven’t got the money and even if we succeeded in wiping out ISIS, there are ten other radical groups who would take the opportunity to take over.

The Obama Doctrine is to support Islamic imperialism. His Arab/Al Qaeda Spring was a miserable failure.

His State supported murder of Momar Gaddafi was a war crime (Gaddafi was a POW and Sec. of State Hillary Clinton chortled “WE came, WE saw, HE DIED!!!”).

The domestic terrorist attacks we’ve seen on his watch were by known jihadists who were cut loose. He does not wage a war on Islamic terrorism. His “strategy” isn’t in America’s interests.

That's about it.

The northeast and left coast limo liberals are always willing to risk somebody elses kids.

The inner city kids are protected because they can't qualify for military service because of very high percentages of criminal records or drug use.

That leaves the kids from the heartland to do the work others will dump on them for doing.

Exactly.

As has been going on for over 1000 years of Islam.

Actually that area has been in turmoil for thousands of years even before Islam emerged. Just read the Bible!

I don’t trust Obama with the lives of our soldiers. While it is debatable whether or not sending troops to defeat ISIS is in our best national interest, what is not debatable is what Obama will do. He will send in our troops with no real plan, implement restrictive ROI’s that get our boys killed needlessly, and all decisions will be calculated on political gain for democrats.

Just wait until ISIS stakes control of the ME oil fields. 1/2 of the worlds supply comes from there. World economies will collapse and anarchy takes over. Better stock up and get some guns and a bunch of ammo.
