Paul Ryan's new partner: Obama
CNN ^ | 5 Jun 15 | Dana Bash

Posted on 06/06/2015 5:55:18 AM PDT by SkyPilot

If things had gone differently in the 2012 presidential election, Paul Ryan would be vice president right now.

Instead, he's allied with the President he tried to defeat. As chairman of the powerful House Ways and Means Committee, he's muscling a controversial trade bill through the House that could shape President Barack Obama's legacy -- and his own.

"Yeah, the irony's not necessarily lost on me. Look, I think the President on this particular issue is right and therefore I think this is good for our country, good for the people I represent. Trade is very important for America -- it's how we get more jobs," Ryan told us during an interview in his Capitol office this week.

But did he ever envision working this closely with Obama?

"I've done a lot of things in my career that I never envisioned in the future," replied Ryan. "It doesn't bother me that the person I ran against in 2012 is the person I'm working with on this because it's the right thing for the country."

I new the second that Ryan made a "secret" budget deal with Sen Murray (D-WA) in 2013 (announced 10 days before Christmas so it could not be debated) that cut ONLY military retirement benefits, but left everything else untouched (EBT, Section 8, TANF, tax credits for illegals, etc) that Paul Ryan was a scumbag.

Now, he is giving Obama a "secret" trade deal that makes a New World Order science fiction novel pale in comparison. This "deal" hands power over to Obama and eviscersates the checks and balances of Congress. It will release our personal health and financial records to an "international" body accountable only to itself.

Not only is Ryan a hypocritical jerk, he is now a traitor.

Ryan has never been serious. I remember a few years ago, with great fanfare, he announced a VERY BOLD plan to cut $50B from the federal budget ever year for 10 years.

That's like trying to save up money to buy a new car by no longer buying a latte at Starbucks on Mondays. Sure, you'll save some money. But it won't be a serious effort to get you where you need to be.

Where are the Wisconsin Freepers whom have Ryan as their representative? Janesville, Wi has suffered enough with previous trade deals - GM - gone, Parker pens - gone. Odd is it not that this traitorious scum is enabling yet another deal that screws the American People.

Has anyone seen any independent studies detailing the jobs created by these trade agreements compared with the jobs lost?

Ryan should be in prison for treason along with Boehner, McConnell and most of the rest of the Republicans. They should join Obama and his accomplices in the perp walk.

Oh. Not only military retirement - from current military members who already budgeted for that income, but from the widows fund.

active duty military have or had the option of purchasing a survivor benefit plan, allowing the surviving spouse of a retiree to collect a portion of retirement which ceases upon the member’s death.

It is a purchase and a contract.

Ryan wanted to reduce that which had already been purchased and signed for.

Not future signees.

No

Breach of contract.

While non taxpayers are collecting benefits

Ryan does not belong in any leadership position. He should be slinging has at a local diner...maybe.

Trade is good, let’s support him?

Now the GOP thinks that their base is as stupid as the Dems. Freedom act, sounds good, big trade deal, check? Your average Dem will vote Dem because their parents did or because they want a black or a woman; policy and principles are meaningless. So a Dem can say just about anything and keep their constituency. The GOP cannot use this strategy on their base because conservatives and libertarians actually do a little research on the subject and employ some critical analysis. The base voters also adhere to constituional principles.

A phony is a phony and those with a brain will be able to see things clearly.
