So far not much sign of the Army except a couple posters here at FR.

Cruz is in 7th place in RCP’s average of polls.

Behind Bush you have Walker and Rubio in double digits, then three guys tied at nine percent, Rand, Huck and Carson.

Then Cruz, in mid-pack.

Another thing that should worry Team Ted is that the bottom of the pack is middle of the road types like Kasich, when they drop out their supports seem more likely to move to another moderate like Jeb or Rubio.

Still a long time till the voting starts. What’s the first state Cruz can win?

So who is your perfect candidate boy?

Lets put him out there for a little scrutiny if you have the stones.

Both amnesty and H-1B visas hold down wages of and/or take jobs from American workers. It’s duplicitous to take jobs away from one class of workers while defending workers of another class.

I will support Walker only as long as he defends American workers and I hope that many more in the GOP field adopt the same position on this issue including Senator Cruz whom I applaud on almost every other issue. Admittedly, Governor Walker has meandered into that position and I am anxious about the specifics of how he will “defend the American worker,” but will support him as long as he does. I truly believe that is why he is enjoying his currently popularity in polls and why Senator Cruz is floundering.

Corporstions will take Cruz because he will help them get and keep cheap foreign labor with retention of illegals and increases in H1b visas. He is a corporist which is not compatible with true conservatism.

CORRECTION: Corporations will take Cruz because he will help them get rid of Obamacare, IRS (paperwork, regulations,..), Common-core (brainwashing), etc. He is a Contitutionalist which is compatible with true conservatism.

Right, you mean before he “evolved” on immigration. Or, the mess with the WEDC in Wisconsin? Or, you mean his strident support of the Patriot ACT being brought back?

Right...he is a 100% Conservative...the most Conservative in the Senate...

But, you have someone else who is better?

LOL...you guys wish this were the case. How about the grass roots polls of actual voters from places like, say, SC and Florida?

If he is doing so badly, why is he asked to be the keynote speaker for most Republican engagements?

If he is doing so badly, how can he possibly extend the map in his campaign to, say, NY, MA, TN, MI, etc?

How could he have over 100 million in PAC money coming in?

Yep, he is losing alright.

Ditto!

H-1B ping. Let me know if you're not on the list and want to be added (or are and want to be removed).

Yes, Cruz is a conservative, mentored by one of the best, Robert George of Princeton. But that does not equate completely with true, classical conservatism.

Unfortunately, Cruz is a corporatist and a shade libertarian with his destructive immigration positions. His positions will promote greedy politicians and corporations power at the expense of the American people.

True conservatism is also populist. Cruz nods here and I am disappointed.

Right now Walker. Possible he means what he says about the American worker.

Former Governor Reagan ran against an incumbent (though unelected) Republican president in 1976. There is no incumbent of either party running this time.

Here’s a newsflash: No one care. Anyone who has looked at your recent posting history can see what you’re up to.

well, obviously.

i was referring more to the point that most movement conservatives got behind Reagan strong in 76. And he scared the crap out of the establishment and lost, but not by much...and not until he won some major victories like the Texas primary.

Then by 1980, he didn’t really have to fight as hard. Yes, Bush and a few others ran against him. But it wasn’t a difficult fight to the nomination.

So again...is Cruz going to run well and lose (1976)?

Or run well...and win (1980)?

Time will tell.....

Hit job ? I guess to the true believers who think Cruz is God Almighty in the flesh, facts are a "hit job".

I'm for Walker, if he's actually running which seems to be a 50/50 proposition at this point, or whoever wins the Republican nomination if it's not Walker.

Watch how Ted votes on the trade deals King Barry is pushing.

Globalist? Corporatist? That doesn’t appear to comport with the record or the facts.

LOL. So, his flip flop on amnesty doesn’t bother you? That hurts the American worker too.

His support of the Patriot Act is ok with you?

WEDC?

I gotcha...sounds like a solid candidate to me. No wonder you had an agenda. But thank you for your honesty.

Ah, so if Bush or Christie are the nominee, you will vote for that person. That explains EVERYTHING I need to know.

Glad to know that you dislike Cruz...now, about the flip flopping on immigration and the support of the Patriot Act...you like those too?

Neither of them have a prayer of getting the nomination but, if they do, I would write my own name in.

Flip flopping? How about all the folks on FR who scream like horribly injured cats about how it's always wrong for the Federal government to screw around with the marketplace and tinker with the "invisible hand", suddenly acting like jerks to anyone who doesn't join them in defending the Federal government force feeding Visa holders into the job market ?

Now, that's a flip flop.
