We need to not overreact. This is a BIG deal. At the same time it is a temporary deal. Obama will be gone soon.
Treaties do not just go away with a different president.
If this “Deal” were an Executive Order or Executive Direction Memo, then I wouldn’t be as worried. However, when provisions for changes to immigration, stopping imports (say for guns and ammo), increased VISA quotas and the like are tacked on to some trade benefit package big business is salivating over, THOSE ACTIONS BECOME LAW.
A future President can erase and EO with a signature; it is very much more difficult to repeal a law and leave the good parts (if any) intact.
This is why I am against TPA which gives him the authority to write his own ticket AND sets the conditions on which it (a future Pact) can be defeated by Congress (the Yes/No bar is highly lopsided here). This RINO leadership is intentionally hogtieing itself and they would not do that for other laws.
It is. US citizens across the political spectrum got mad as hell at the DC crowd continuing to sell out voters. At the very least, the DC crowd had an obligation to vote "no" and put the whole thing on hold until it was more out in the open and not another us vs them vote.
We have every reason to be disgusted with the "constitutional conservatives" who voted for this because they know what's best for us. They didn't trust that on some things people who live with the consequences of their votes know more than they do.
