someone who has been bankrupt more than once...

Apparently, he's had 4 businesses go bankrupt over the years, but he personally has never gone bankrupt. Makes me wonder if any of those 4 bankruptcies could have helped at all by company money going to augment his now $9 B personal fortune.

Politicians don’t create jobs. The greatest job stimulus would be the government getting out of our way. Remove all the things that smother business - OSHA, EPA, high taxes, labor laws, endless regulations, etc.

8 billion bucks of net worth proves something from someone who has been bankrupt more than once. “Get ‘er done Donald!”

I wouldn't hold up his use of Chapter 11 bankruptcy as a business tactic as a positive thing. Also, (a) his bankruptcies were corporate, not personal, and (b) bankruptcy doesn't mean he had nothing - he had substantial wealth even while his companies were going through bankruptcy.

“True story: one time I was getting on an elevator in New York City. Two men in suits and sun glasses came up to me and told me to get off the elevator. I thought, by the looks of them, that some important government official was getting on and that I had to get off for security reasons so I did. But no, it was Donald Trump and his monumental ego who didn’t want to share the elevator with any peons like me.”

i believe i’ve read about that same sort of behaviour by our Hillary when she was a senator. i think she doesn’t even want to be looked in the eyes by those she wants to lead and help, but will gladly accept one [better yet, even more] dollars from them for her campaign to be their advocate and champion as she ascends the throne to the Casa Blanca.

LOL. That is a 100% true story from back in the 1990s. And Trump was a private citizen who had no security detail or right to kick anyone off of a public elevator. I know other people who have run into his ego and have stories about how bad it is. He may be a good real estate investor. He may be a good showman, but he has a monumental ego and a supreme sense of entitlement.

I wonder if Trump can help change that situation.... My bet is he’ll soon find that running the government is ORDERS OF MAGNITUDE different from running the Trump Organization.

I will venture to guess that he will never be in a position to "find that running the government" is anything.

Mexico, he said, is “laughing at us, at our stupidity” as they import drugs and “rapists” into the United States. “And some, I assume, are good people,” Trump added, vowing to build a wall on the southern border and make Mexico pay for it.

How, exactly, is he going to make Mexico pay for the wall?

It’s been done, Donald. His name was Washington, George Washington. Why? He didn’t want the job. But he did it with honor and distinction anyway. And after two terms, walked away and went home.

This means absolutely nothing, but my cousin used to do work for him and says he’s the most corrupt, sleazy person he’s ever known. Even if that’s just hard feelings on my cousin’s part, Trump’s got a lot more skeletons in his closet than four traffic tickets. I’m paranoid enough to think the MSM lets him skate because he makes the GOP look stupid.

He’s not. He’s just a windbag. Bla, bla, bla, Donald.

It could be fun watching him strut around and unload on everyone, though. He has useful work to do. But POTUS isn’t it.

Yeah, he could be a great attack dog for the GOP (and the GOP's eventual candidate) - from the outside.

Currently, in the absence of much of an impetus to embrace actual GODLINESS, job creation is about as plausible a proxy to redemption as can be had. Weak and fallible though it be.

It does read vaguely like the script of Idiocracy, but at least Trump would put skin in the game.
