A bit odd but resourceful and quite do-able. A single edge blade with a bit of scotch tape over the edge to keep from cutting yourself and taped to body with non cutting edge up for easy access. Access blade and press cutting edge to target and pull, quickly makes for a very sorry rapist/mugger .

I seem to recall that there was a time when ladies would store broken glass in an area considered private and open to friends only.

Would imagine a pretty decent defensive weapon would be for a woman to have some sort of guillotine attached to her upper body to welcome ‘unwelcomed’ intruders.

Course the courts would probably say she had put to much thought into prospective intruders.

Right after I hit send I remembered where I had heard such an outlandish plan.

King decided it was cheaper and less stressful to ‘neuter’ the future Palace Guards.

My sister used to carry her bobby sox in her bra but she never thought about dad's razor. Sounds a bit "ethnic" to me.

I carried my twin razor edged knuckle blades in a pretty belt buckle, but that was over 30 years ago.

A classic straight razor would a bit difficult to deploy under pressure and be a bit to big. The single edge blade like what is used in a window scraper is a better option as is a single edge like the old injector blades used. They are also easy to dispose of.

I got that variant from a Cuban guy in the service. Nice fellow albeit a bit strange. He hated communists with a passion and had extensive knowledge of explosives. Escaped when Castro took over. I always suspected he was involved in anti-Castro activities “ala’ the “Company” but never could prove it.

I had a nice buckle blade years ago. Nothing fancy, though. Also carried a nice Tekna Knife. However, I think I paid about $30, though, definitely not $200. LOL

Edged weapons can be very effective, especially if you live in a state like California that rarely grants carry permits, but has some "liberal" knife laws.
