University graduates routinely show great emotion (spontaneous and sometimes scripted) as they stand in front of crowds to mark momentous occasions. Onlookers clap and cheer, hoot and holler, and then wait to see what the next student (or student body) will do.
But one UC San Diego student's Mexican flag-waving exuberance has sparked a conversation that's transcended her brief moment Sunday.
Indira Esparza, a 22-year-old undocumented student who moved to the U.S. when she was 2, proudly unfurled the green, white and red flag of Mexico as she walked across the stage.

I have no idea why these people are proud to be Mexican. The country is a sh*thole, the govt hopelessly corrupt, no opportunity and full of poor peasants and drug dealers. If it is so great why are they here?

Why does Mexico want to expand northward? Why not south into Panama and on into South America?
Oh - no welfare down there? free healthcare? free education?

Too bad she couldnt take her knowledge back to Mejico and fix her homeland .. instead of sticking her flag in ever legal citizen’s faces at the ceremony.
I’ll add my voice to these lamentations. The left has been relentless and have fried the culture like an egg. Seems like lately all that’s left to do is a quick turn over and finish the other side and that’s happening now. Maybe the kids coming up will turn things around, but right now, USA is going down.
At least we can keep googling her name so it is all over the internet. Let her try to get a legal job then.
