Before their additional backup arrived, Toro and Barrow observed a fracas inside the banquet hall and approached to investigate, but they were met at the door by an intoxicated man who refused to let them in.

The man, Brian R. Pelker, 46, of the 400 block of Hill Road, South Heidelberg Township, refused to get out of the way, yelled at officers and took on a fighting stance. After warning him to get out of the way. Barrow used a stun gun on him to no effect. He tried to use the stun gun again but Pelker only got more aggressive, so Barrow took him down with a baton.

Once on the ground, Pelker struggled with officers and grabbed one of them in the crotch before he was subdued.

Pelker was charged with aggravated and simple assault, obstructing administration of law, public drunkenness and related offenses.

The groom’s family apparently work as Vin Diesel impersonators?

something resembling a regional police convention when officers from 16 forces

They ran out of their shoes to get there and fulfill the media narrative
demanding equal justice. LMBO

No, if this were a Black fight at least 2 would be shot to death and 12 wounded
by gunshots, including a couple 4-6 year olds.

Nothing wrong with a little fist to cuffs in the front yard next to the hog pen
and tractor pull mezzanine.

The real question is how many relatives did the Wife before the wedding.

“but at that point, alcohol had taken over”

Ah yes, no discounting the power of poor judgment coupled with lack of inhibitions when adult beverages are involved.

Who says all the rednecks are in the South?

“Police say the “very upset” bride was treated for alcohol poisoning and dehydration, reports the Eagle. As for that 14-year-old, he blew a 0.16, twice the legal limit for adults.”

Damn.

I've been to Reading, PA for work at Dana Corporation in 2005. I stayed for three weeks at the Penn View Motel. There were some very shady characters lurking about...junkies and what-not. Apparently, it was demolished in 2006. I still have some of their stationery. Maybe it'll be worth something someday! Good riddance to bad rubbish.

Around here, we reserve these type of brawls for funerals. If you read about a baby momma’s child dying due the actions of her current boyfriend, you call to get ringside seats. Momma and baby daddy family is going to be spoiling especially when boyfriend’s family arrives.

16 Police Forces Called to Bloody Wedding Brawl

A wedding reception in Berks County, Pa., turned into something resembling a regional police convention when officers from 16 forces turned up to deal with rowdy guests—including the groom, who spent his wedding night in jail. "...the "very upset" bride was treated for alcohol poisoning and dehydration.

"Must have been one of them Meth Weddings."

See comments...hahaha.

Thanks, Old Sarge.

After my stay at the Penn-View, I went uptown and booked a room at the Stirling Guest Hotel. When I finally got to my room on the third floor, I thought I had died and gone to heaven!

Barrow used a stun gun on him to no effect.

Literally "feeling no pain"?

Many kudos to the cops for not letting a very bad situation escalate to gunfire.

...but at that point, alcohol had taken over.....

That statement is in many police reports and family legends.
