Gov. Bobby Jindal (R-La.) said on Sunday that he is not changing his mind on the definition of marriage.
I think marriage is between a man and a woman, Jindal told host Chuck Todd on NBCs Meet the Press.
My position is not going to evolve, he said.
I want to run a campaign where we do not give up on our principles, the 2016 GOP presidential candidate added.
Establishment conservatives do not want us to do that.
Jindals remarks follow Fridays landmark Supreme Court ruling legalizing same-sex marriage nationwide.
He said on Sunday that Louisiana would not start recognizing the practice until the legal process was fully concluded.
Our agencies will comply with the courts order, Jindal said. We do not have a choice.
I think this decision was the wrong one, he added. I strongly disagree with the courts decision.

Then do what Alabama did
“You say you wanna evolution”
Geaux Bobby!
Jindal is now my top choice.
He’s solid.
WEll I like Bobby but why hasn’t he just invoked the 10th Ammendment? Why hasn’t even one of our GOP governors done it? Why haven’t they all gotten tougher and done it simultaneously? They are afraid. Talk is cheap.
My top choice too!
Marriage isn't a contract with the state. It's a contract with God. It has no meaning if it's granted to same-sex couples. JMHO, and I've never been opposed to civil unions for any two people who want that legal arrangement.
I was in favor of civil unions over marriage for homosexuals.
There’s just too much baggage to an attempt to equalize traditional and homosexual marriage.
Everything from terminologies to children’s developing identity is tossed upside down.
What about nullification?
“WEll I like Bobby but why hasnt he just invoked the 10th Ammendment?”
No.
Not “just” invoked the 10th amendment.” Invoke the SUPREME Ruler and Judge. No one can argue against Him. He says marriage is One Man and One Woman.
“What about nullification?”
That is the 10th ammendement. It nullifies unconstitutional Federal laws.
“Our agencies will comply with the courts order, Jindal said. We do not have a choice.
Yes you do, Bobby. Yes you do.
