Trump: Where’s The Public Outcry for Obama Calling Mexicans ‘Gang-Bangers’?
Mediaite ^ | 7/1/15 | Ken Meyer

Donald Trump posted a statement from his campaign to Instagram on Wednesday to comment on a town hall event where President “Barrack Obama” (his misspelling) referred to some illegal immigrants as “gang-bangers.”

While Trump plugged his “Make America Great Again” campaign and said that this was one of his rare agreements with the president, he said it was hypocritical that the liberal media’s not generating public outcry against Obama when his statements were “far less controversial.”

Obama’s statements came off a question about the Affordable Care Act, where he went on to say that policy reform was necessary for resource distribution and aiding law-abiding immigrants on the path to becoming citizens:

We should not be encouraging illegal immigration. What we should be doing is setting up a smart, legal immigration system that doesn’t separate families, but does focus on making sure that people who are dangerous, people who are gang-bangers or criminals — that we’re deporting them as quickly as possible.

I’m amazed at how much play he gets on the internet’s premier conservative forum.

I gotta say, we're all hooked because of the comments he's made about Mexico and illegal immigrants. And probably about his comments on China as well. We are supposed to be a "superpower" yet we're letting Mexico run all over us (remember the Marine they took and held for months because he made a wrong turn?) yet they send all their workers here to take our jobs and we're supposed to treat them well. We are being taken advantage of and Trump seems to be the most outspoken about that.

Time will tell how it all plays out.

I think he many have had that move planned before he made his original statement. That’s how you play chess.

> “Trump needs his Twitter privileges taken away for a week or so.”

Why?

He’s pointing out the hypocrisy of the media. I think that was the end game from the beginning. He set the trap and they fell right into it. Actually killed two birds; demonstrated the hypocrisy of the press, and reminded every one again about a really dumb statement Obonehead uttered.

Trump had an interview with Lemon on CNN and Lemon was arguing about the rape statement Trump made, Lemon says well rapes are up, Trump interrupts, “someone is raping them Don”.

"When Mexico sends its people, they're not sending their best. They're not sending you. They're not sending you. They're sending people that have lots of problems, and they're bringing those problems with us. They're bringing drugs. They're bringing crime. They're rapists. And some, I assume, are good people."

He wasn't very diplomatic, but it's true that Mexico isn't exactly sending us its best and brightest as immigrants. Compare and contrast the average economic/social/educational achievement of Mexican illegals with other immigrant groups in this country.

I have a question for you and other Trump supporters. If Trump is really so serious and committed to the immigration issue, why are we only hearing about it now? With his billions, he could have given money to anti-immigration PACs, backed candidates who were serious about restricting illegal (and legal) immigration, and used his media ties to create a bully pulpit for the issue.

Did Trump do any of these things? No. Instead, he's a Johnny-come-lately to this and every other conservative issue, opportunistically latching onto the bandwagon and trying to outdo everyone else's rhetoric in order to get attention. If there ever was a worse instance of right message, wrong messenger, I haven't seen it.

Trump is Right—love him or Hate him—he’s right on this issue.

good point blkeply, it’s “pathetic” to criticize Obama and to point out the hypocrisy of his media enablers.

what else is “pathetic” in your book, blkeply?
