Atlanta Fire Chief Fired For ‘Anti-Gay’ Views ‘Absolutely’ Wants His Job Back

After being fired for writing what’s been described as an “anti-gay” book, former Atlanta Fire Chief Kelvin Cochran says he “absolutely” wants his job back.

“In the United States of America, Americans should not have to choose between keeping your job and living out your faith,” Cochran told The Daily Signal in an exclusive interview. “And that’s the position the city of Atlanta actually has taken—that I have to have a choice to live out my faith or to keep my job.”

Cochran was fired in January 2015 for publishing a men’s devotional book for a Baptist church group. In the book, “Who Told You That You Were Naked?” Cochran addressed issues of homosexuality, gay marriage and premarital sex from a biblical perspective.

Seems that he failed to remember: TRUTH is the new HATE SPEECH!

Now, Christians are being persecuted, but with nowhere left to go.

Jesus did say to buy a sword.

People don’t lose their right to free speech just because they work for the government.

Tell that to any member of the U.S. armed forces.

That wasn’t something that I said. Been there, done that.

Sorry, the statement you quoted was part of the Q & A that I quoted in my post. There are certainly plenty of cases where one’s free speech right is not the same when in government employment.

A firefighter in Massachusetts was fired because it was discovered that he had signed on to the petition to bring the gay marriage issue before the people as the constitution of Massachusetts allows. I don’t know what happened about this but I sure hope he fought back.

Is there a lawyer in the house who can explain what the law says about this?

The United States is becoming a hostile place for Christians to live. Perhaps we should leave. i say this not in fear, or because of some doomsday idea. i say this in love. We should all just leave. Maybe go to Mexico, buy up a couple of towns, and just move in, build an economy, develop trade with other countries and compete with the sodomites in the open market. Seriously

Frightening. Firefighter can’t even sign a petition requesting a referendum?
So he loses his job. Or some gay nazi coworker arranges for him to die in a fire and makes it look like an accident.

You can check out www.massresistance.com it has many things that you might want to know about what has been happening in Massachusetts regarding the whole gay situation here. Keep massresistance on your list, it is full of great information that you will use not only to inform yourself but others as well. I do not know if the story about the fireman is on massresistance but you can try doing a search for it on the massresistance website.
