Among likely Iowa Republican caucus-goers, 46 percent said that illegal immigrants should be required to leave the U.S., 34 percent said they should be able to stay and have a path to citizenship, and 17 percent said that they should be able to stay but without a path to citizenship. In other words, a total of 63 percent of Iowa Republicans oppose a path to citizenship for illegal immigrants.

Who is in that 34%?????
Trump on course.
Not surprising but I am surprised that 83% are for a “path to citizenship” given how popular Bernie appears to be and his aversion to immigrants.
The only “Path” for illegals I support is one back to Mexico, period. Let them dream there. Mexico let them and all the millions transiting through their country from points farther south for a damned good reason. They are the refuse of the southern hemisphere.
Allowing illegals to stay in our country is like allowing bank robbers to keep the money.
It’s nuts.
The American citizens have been consistently opposed to abandoning the rule of law and creating a path to citizenship for those who ignored the one we have.
Even hispanic citizens oppose amnesty.
Employers of illegal aliens, family memebers of illegal aliens, and others who profit from cheap labor.
Republicans who are Marxists and Mexicans....
Jeb Bush is campaigning in opposition to the GOP base.
By the end of the year, this percentile should jump 15% higher for Iowa Rs.
that would mean all customers too....just sayin....
Yes it does. I ask contractors if they hire illegal aliens before I hire them. Most people do not. Most of them deny they hire illegal aliens, but when I tell them I will check ID’s of everyone on site, the ones who do withdraw.
but that’s rare, very rare.
Illegals come here illegally and are given citizenship and all the free stuff and advantages the legals never had.
Legals spent money and waited years to come here legally. These people should be really pissed!
This is very bad for bush. Is it possible that bush will lose this heatland bell weather state. If he does, I think it finishes his race. He has announced, The voters there have him on the caucus ballot. He MUST WIN in Iowa!!
WEll then that leaves only Cruz and Trump. They are talking about a path to legal status but not citizenship.
There’s already a path to citizenship - it leads back to their own country and to the end of the line of those waiting to come here legally - what’s the issue?.....
