Haven’t been to Starbucks in years. So not personally affected.

What happened, minimum wage hike? Too many sit at the table for hours on end in the Internet while sipping one small coffee?

As if they are not over-priced already. Two reasons why I do not patronize Starbucks:

1) Howard Schultz

2) Outrageous prices

Same. I only drink 1-2 cups a day, so it’s perfect.

House brand instant coffee from Aldi.. $2.99 for 8 ounces. Just as good (better?) than Taster’s Choice..

(I “cut my teeth” on Cafe du Monde as a toddler when my parents and my siblings lived in the FQ, NOLA).

I love coffee. I’d go anywhere else and pay before accepting the crap they call coffee from Starbucks for free.

When the gift card’s empty, that’s it.

So long, Starbucks.

I wonder if this has anything to do with the price increase.

Starbucks CEO: If You are Anti-Gay Marriage, ‘You can Sell Your Shares”

Tom Stobhar, founder of Corporate Morality Action Center, complained about the company’s support of gay marriage, citing that the company’s support for gay marriage has resulted in boycotts against the company that have cost Starbucks a considerable amount of business.

Starbucks joins the race debate as clashes in Ferguson and elsewhere escalate tension.

Starbucks’ campaign aimed at encouraging people to talk about race relations in the U.S. is the latest example of a big company trying to tie its brands to big social issues. But the move, which has sparked backlash on social media, also illustrates how those efforts can fall flat if customers don’t see a clear correlation between the cause and the company’s products.

Are they now going to force the cashiers to have conversations with the customers about how increasing prices is racist?

I am already boycotting Starbucks for their hostility to Israel and their ultra pro gay everything stance.

I was watching a youtube video on fractal math. The commenter pointed out that it could be used to fight global warming. It was really good up to that point. They just had to throw in a gratuitous social cause. “click” Off.

Personally, you have no idea how little I care. (I stole that line from a western movie, “Monty Walsh” Tom Selick.

Bottom line, I have no intention of frequenting Starbucks for their already overprice liberal “Hippey Juice”.
