So this is the fool the bereaved family ought to sue. He is unfit to protect the public from the criminal invaders.

One of these days, a victim or a family member of a victim is going to hold accountable the bureaucrat he holds responsible for a heinous crime like this. It won’t be pretty. But it might put clueless bureaucrats on notice.

I agree they ought to sue. But I think our legal system has become too corrupt for them to win. Getting involved in the “justice” system is its own brand of hell and the family probably has other priorities right now (funeral, grieving) and is probably too distraught to think about suing or to be able to handle the further victimization and abuse that a lawsuit will bring down on them. It would take great strength and deep pockets to pursue this. I’d like to see a conservative legal fund that takes up cases like this.
