The demographers agreed: at some point in 2014, Latinos would pass whites as the largest ethnic group in California.
Determining when exactly that milestone would occur was more of a tricky question. Counting people isn't like counting movie ticket receipts.
The official confirmation had to wait until new population figures were released by the Census Bureau this summer. The new tally, released in late June, shows that as of July 1, 2014, about 14.99 million Latinos live in California, edging out the 14.92 million whites in the state.

Don’t worry they will take California back. Any day now the Mexican flag will be raised over California’s public buildings.
Why would the Mexicans wabt to take it back when their government won’t givethem any benefits. They’ve got a great deal. We babysit all their kids and pay for it.
And these Mexicans are prouder to be Mexican than californian or American.
The Mexicans in Texas love being Texan just as much as they are Mexican.
That’s what the left wants; a return to “Alta California”. Why hand it to them?
Never mind that this article marks the left as racist, like never before. Everything is “race, race, race” for the moment (and of course afterwards) because the issue is always the revolution.
This means there are more of them outside the 7/11 than whites inside.
This is about the nineteenth time they’ve run this headline in the last few decades.
So why not celebrate? Where’s the parade?
Frankly, as long as that action would put them out of the Electoral College picture and remove their votes, I really don’t have a problem with that. Give it back. Let Apple deal with a real banana republic government instead of a wannabe....

Stop handing out benefits and they will go home and if not they need to be strongly encouraged.
Of course “Latinos” like Cameron Diaz, Andy Garcia, Christina Aguilera, and Alexis Bledel are no doubt not counted as white.
If Whites want more whites they need to have more kids. Problem solved.
And it never once occurs to the morons cheering this news that California was what it was because of the society that once lived there, and because of the new common denominator California is destined to follow Mexico down the commode.
I’m not wild about the idea of disintegration. Why can’t people envision throwing the Mexicans out of the country? I think it is sloth.
How about in exchange for transferring CA to Mexico (de facto anyway) all illegal aliens from the rest of the country get shipped to CA?
The ultimate goal?....Los Estados Unidos.
