Jimmy Carter: Jesus Would Approve Of Gay Marriage
By David Sherfinski
July 8, 2015 Former President Jimmy Carter says he believes Jesus would approve of gay marriage but that he has a hard time believing Jesus would approve of abortions except in cases of rape, incest, or if the mothers life was in danger.
I believe that Jesus would approve gay marriage, Mr. Carter told HuffPost Live. Thats just my own personal belief.
Mr. Carter described himself as a born-again Christian and said faith has always been an important part of his life.

Jimmah is a spokesman for Jesus now, huh? The boy has a lot of gall.
Jesus would disapprove of Jimmy Carter.
I guess they were going to take Jesus’ tax exemption away.
Oh ... wrong.
When Jimmy Carter was President, it is clear that he was a latent schizophrenic and had at least one overt psychotic break when he made his “retreat” to the Maryland mountains and then gave his famous speech when he projected his despondency on the American people. The man is not right.
Jesus spoke on marriage. He quoted the Old Testament defining marriage between a man and a woman.
Matthew 19 New King James Version (NKJV)
Marriage and Divorce
19 Now it came to pass, when Jesus had finished these sayings, that He departed from Galilee and came to the region of Judea beyond the Jordan. 2 And great multitudes followed Him, and He healed them there.
3 The Pharisees also came to Him, testing Him, and saying to Him, Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife for just any reason?
4 And He answered and said to them, Have you not read that He who made[a] them at the beginning made them male and female,[b] 5 and said, For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh?[c] 6 So then, they are no longer two but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let not man separate.
Carter left his original church denomination, 15 years ago.
Jimmy Carter Leaves Southern Baptists
ABC Oct. 20, 2000
Former President Carter, a longtime Sunday school teacher, is walking away from the Southern Baptists because of the churchs stance on equality for women.
In an interview with the Atlanta Journal-Constitution published today, Carter says Southern Baptist leaders reading the Bible out of context led to the adoption of increasingly rigid views.
Im familiar with the verses they have quoted about wives being subjugated to their husbands, he told the paper. In my opinion, this is a distortion of the meaning of Scripture. I personally feel the Bible says all people are equal in the eyes of God. I personally feel that women should play an absolutely equal role in service of Christ in the church.
Southern Baptists are the United States largest Protestant denomination, with 15.9 million members, voting about 80% pro-life republican.
Jimmah may be heading toward Alzheimers territory. He is delusional if he thinks the decisions of the ‘Supreme’ Court align with ANY of Jesus’ teachings.
Is born again a certain religion. Was he a Pastor before to a certain religion?Anybody-Thanks.
As I’ve advised my wife on many occasions, “don’t put both mayonnaise and mustard on your sandwich or you will get brain sick like Jimmah Cahter”.
I personally would never presume to speak to what Jesus would or would not approve, but I do know this:
You mean like post 9?
Me neither. I just just funnin'.
Miss Lillian, you are right. You should have stayed a virgin.
This moron has always been a socialist all the way back to governor of ga and before.
Anyone can say they are born again. Only God knows what is in a man’s heart. We do know though, in Jimmy’s it’s lust. The man is a fool.
