I don’t have time to figure out your logic, Murray. (that’s a line from the old Odd Couple sitcom I don’t get to use often. But it works here. I have no idea how you drew that conclusion based on me simply posting Jesus’ words from John 3.

I am just trying to figure out your beliefs, that’s all.You quote scripture so I took it you agree with Former President Jimmy Carter that Jesus would approve of Gay marriage.I’m a Catholic trying to understand this.

No, you're simply looking to bash Christians. Quoting scripture means that I agree with Carter's twisted take on the subject? Gimme a break.

I'll try to remember not to waste my time replying to you and your deceitful motives in the future.

The Pope believes in global warming. Should I presume that means you, as a Catholic, also, believe in global warming?

Plenty of Priests convinced themselves that raping little boys was okay to do. So that means that you think raping little boys is okay?

Of course both conclusions would be absurd. Just like thinking that because Carter considers himself ‘born again’, that all ‘Born again’ Christians would agree his deluded take on gay marriage.

I have a three post limit when attempting to pass on remedial wisdom. Your on your own now. Good night.

The Catholic church claims it wrote Scripture.

By your reasoning then, if using Scripture is the criteria for support of gay marriage, the Catholic church must approve of gay marriage.

One of Jimmy’s favorite techniques is misquoting his opponents. Here, he misquotes Saint Paul. Paul did not say wives should be “subjugated” to their husbands.

Interesting point MM, but as far as that dip stick Jimmy Carter is concerned, anyone can say they are a born again Christian. Whether he is telling the truth, or lying, is open to conjecture. The Bible says we will know them by their fruits. Jimmy Carter does not show me any fruits. My opinion is, Jimmy Carter is no more a born again Christian, than the man in the moon. He is a wolf in sheep's clothing, a hypocrite, a lying sack of something. 😆 I do not take anything he says seriously. Not one thing.

I wonder what the Obungler thinks about that?

“That’s just my own personal belief.”

Got that right. If you are a born again Christian you would know exactly what the Bible says about it. Apparently you disagree with the Father, Son and Holy Ghost.

“I believe that Jesus would approve gay marriage,” Mr. Carter told HuffPost Live. “That’s just my own personal belief.”

This is an excellent example of how heresy happens by people failing to use (either willingly or unwillingly) the Word of God to support their claims. They would rather do what is right in their own eyes.

I ask; “under what circumstance do you ever want Jimmy Carter lending voice in advancing your cause?”

*shudder*
