It is a classic liberal mindset.

My way or no way at all.

There’s a fine line between concern and obsession.

Good place for a Tull quote:

“You’re missing the point I’m sure does not need making”

Indeed.

:)

I think about that, a lot.

I can’t imagine the enormity of *all* the sadness He feels and I certainly would not want His job.

Yet He loves us, anyway.

[frankly, I’d be more inclined to just blast the whole bloody lot of us]

;D

Oh, God, I hope so.

Crazy thing is, every year, around the anniversary of her death, this black butterfly with a blue iridescence, much like her coat, shows up around her grave and ‘pals around’ with me in the back yard all summer.
It’s extremely “friendly” and follows me whenever I’m outside.

Two days ago, I was freaking out because it followed our truck out to the end of the lane and fluttered frantically all around it while himself was checking the mail box.

I was worried it wouldn’t ‘go home’ and might get hit by a car.

Silly but somehow, I think the butterfly has something to do with her.

A sign from God, maybe.

On her grave is a little stone that says, simply, “BELIEVE”.

Or grief has finally made me mad.

Pick one.

So sorry to hear that.
No matter how long we have them, it’s never long enough.

Thank you, Salamander, for sharing that with me. Now I am crying too.

Halla was extremely lucky to find you. You, through your efforts with her and your ability to pay her bills and raise money for her bills is what allowed her the time she had here.

And during that time she knew what it is to be loved.

You will see her again. She is waiting for you.

I know what it means to stand before a dog that you love and comfort it as she is sent home.

That is one of the hardest things in this world.

That is also one of the priceless lessons that we can learn from a dog. They teach us how to say goodbye when goodbye is the last thing we ever want to say, and we do this because we love them, and we do not want them to know pain, so we carry it for them instead, and it is a heavy burden.

Now I must go and get a tissue, thank you again Salamander, and thank you for your love of God’s dogs.

Halla’s page is here.

http://dobermann-pinschers.com/

I had gone to take gifts and decent food to Odin’s daddy that was how I found the pups.

Living in polluted squalor.

They *all* had hydrocephalus, to some degree, judging by their defective eyes.
None of them “acted like puppies”, at all.

Several people think they were exposed to toxins in that wretched, gutted junky trailer.

I do not know what ever happened to the other pups.

There were only four left when I visited and I have feeling there were many more who died before I ever saw them.

That is an incredible webiste!

I have spent quite a bit of time viewing the pictures, thank so much for showing me.

Odin is nothing short of magnificent! I just love the dire doberman pic :D

The picture of the pups nursing reminds me of my mama dog. I call her that because that is what she is, although I was not fortunate enough to meet her pups. But I notice that she and the mama dog in the picture have a similar look in the eye and face. They know what it is to be put upon I think.

The picture of Odin putting the tan dogs head in his mouth reminds me of what Isis does to my cat. Whole head in her mouth, face, head, ears all of it down the hatch, then she lets go, and no harm done to the cat. It’s really funny to see that, and this is one badass cat who can and does kick the dog’s butt at every opportunity.

But your pictures of Seven remind me most my my dog. Isis is the first girl dog I’ve ever owned. Just so loving and affectionate. I am really happy that God gave me the opportunity to know her. She is a true companion.

The pictures of Seven going toy shopping are just awesome! Her flag is just awesome! And the snake she picked reminds me of the fox my old dog, Grainger, used to love. Very similar type of toy with a squeaker in it. His fox is retired now and rests at the base of his urn in the living room.

When I take Isis toy shopping, she always picks a ball. She loves to play soccer, and she is very good at it. I have to be very careful to walk her first though, otherwise she gets too excited in Pet Smart and will forget herself and leave them and most unwanted and embarrassing gift :O

The pictures of Halla are difficult to see. At least the ones that show where she came from. I know that Isis saw something similar, with similar people i think. She knew harsh neglect early on in life. I thank God for sending her to me and me to her so that I can spoil her real good!

The pictures of her after that are easier and better to see. That was the time when you gave her something great.

And her resting place is nothing short of breathtaking and I am still crying thinking about it...

Thank you for showing me. That page is one of the best pages I have ever seen on the internet.

What about all the babies that were killed that day through abortion?
Yea, yea, we know. "All lives are precious"...Like Obama, the Clintons, Boxer, Pelosi, Bernie Sanders, Vallerie Jarret, Sorros, Kim Jung, Hitler, Pol Pot, Stalin The list of "precious lives" not aborted is endless.

It isn’t bad to me. Maybe it will inspire others to do good in this now weary world.

Through love, all is possible.

Like clockwork.

A cute story about dogs and someone chimes in as you have here.

Sorry, but you make Twain’s statement “The more I learn about people, the more I like my dog” ring true.

Or grief has finally made me mad.
But I don't want to go among mad people,' Alice remarked.
'Oh, you can't help that,' said the Cat: 'we're all mad here. I'm mad. You're mad.'
'How do you know I'm mad?' said Alice.
'You must be,' said the Cat, 'or you wouldn't have come here.'
Alice didn't think that proved it at all; however, she went on 'And how do you know that you're mad?'
'To begin with,' said the Cat, 'a dog's not mad. You grant that?'
'I suppose so,' said Alice.
'Well, then,' the Cat went on, 'you see, a dog growls when it's angry, and wags its tail when it's pleased. Now I growl when I'm pleased, and wag my tail when I'm angry. Therefore I'm mad.'
