Powell's comments are entirely without substance. Unless you're a native American, you're here because you or someone in your family immigrated here - or you are the descendant of a slave. OK. We get that, but it's not the point. The point is that we are supposed to be a sovereign nation, one that Powell took an oath to protect. When people cross our borders illegally they are ignoring and breaking our laws. To let this happen renders citizenship meaningless. Further, for Powell to not work to stop illegal entry into our nation is a breach of his oath to protect the US. IMHO.
