Not really, you don't give the PC mamas in Packs/Troops much credit do you? They're loud and proud to support queers, even in conventional Troops...I've seen and heard it and the BSA even promotes it through their "diversity" indoctrination.

My wife and I took the BSA out of our wills when they approved queer members.

It seems more and more obvious to me that the gospel mandate got misunderestimated. It never was go and make the world decent. It was go and make disciples (learners) of Jesus among the nations.
The situation that blessed America, the great early popularity of bible if not also gospel, was also ultimately unstable. Without some event that increased genuine Christian zeal, faith and the reflection of faith was doomed to decay.
Now maybe the current challenge will see once more a clarification of biblical mission among US Christians. I hope it does. But the idea of Christians owning a country’s culture was more accident of history than it ever was biblical mandate.

Allow me to repeat. The whole point of “gay rights” is to get unobstructed access to your children and grandchildren. Everything they do is a calculated as a step in that direction.
So BSA and the troop have deferred to the sponsoring organization. That’s a HUGE victory for the queers. The largest potential cohesive institutional obstruction, the BSA, has been neutralized. Now each sponsoring organization is on its own, and subject to being isolated, identified, and attacked by the gaystapo individually. It’s classic Alinksy tactics. One by one the objecting organizations will be threatened with negative media pressure of boycotts and revocation of tax-exempt status. It will suffice that the initial resistance will be crushed and beaten down, and the rest will get in line. Against this orchestrated onslaught, the sponsoring organizations don’t have a chance. How many times have we seen this played out in the past decade?
It’s the whole point of their relentless march. They don’t want to build boys into men through scouting, they want to recruit boys to their perverted sexual tastes. The perverts are driven by the strongest of evil desires: lust. It consumes them, they cannot quench it, they cannot control it, and really, they don’t want to.
They just want access to your children and grandchildren.

Homosexuals have been lying for decades. In Vermont they said they wanted civil unions and it was good enough. As soon as they got that they pushed for marriage. As soon as they got that in certain states they then went after adoption agencies like Catholic charities in Boston. Once they got that they went for teaching it in schools.
