Somalis To Boycott MOA For Celebration In Stand With Black Lives Matter

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Some in the Twin Cities Somali community are boycotting the Mall of America for their end of Ramadan celebration this week because of charges against Black Lives Matter protesters in connection to a rally held on one of the busiest shopping days of last year. In a press release from Black Lives Matter, it says hundreds in the Somali community will boycott the mall for the Eid celebration, which comes at the end of Ramadan, the month of fasting in Islamic tradition.

If you are in or near MSP, it would be a good time to shop MOA, not only to counter the boycott but to show how much you appreciate shopping in a thug free environment.

We went to Kenya last fall to visit some game parks.Our guide was a man named James and I,at least,got to talking with him for some time during the long drives to,from and between the parks.We talked about Africa and politics.He talked for some time about the problems that Kenya has and for a while he focused on terrorism.He mentioned over and over the Somalis and how dangerous they were and how much suffering and destruction they've caused in Kenya (Somalia and Kenya share a border).Although he didn't come right out and say it it was pretty clear that he considered Somalis to be medieval savages...he had *that* much animosity.
