Employees of one small Missouri town had an extreme reaction when residents elected their first Black female mayor: 80% of the police department quit, along with the city clerk and two other staffers. And, according to the New York Times, no one seems to wants to guess, or even speculate about, the real reason for the mass exodus.

I wouldn’t work for a black woman, if I had options. If it was work for her, or be unemployed, I’d work for her, and be looking while I was working.
I’m sure there are black women who make great bosses. I’m also sure there are winning lottery tickets. I’ve never had either one.

Because she was black, or because of some expressed opinions on various issues? Very hard to believe so many would quit because of her race.
I remember this from a few months back. If it's the same story I'm think of, she's a Republican. Al and Jesse aren't going to be showing up to support her.
