US Secretary of State John Kerry indirectly conceded that the US would defend Iran's nuclear program from Israeli sabotage on Thursday, in a hearing at the Senate Foreign Relations Committee in which he was grilled over the deal reached last Tuesday.

What Kerry confirmed is that he and the administration just pushed forward the inevitable attack on the Iranian nukes before the defense of their facilities can be implemented.
Matter of fact, I imagine that the Israelis have been war-gaming for this inevitability for the better part of this year.
