I’m not sure anyone running is authentic.
America is desperate for someone who is authentic and honest, even if they disagree with him on some points. Most Americans are sick and tired of the panderers who weigh everything they say carefully and focus group every decision they make.
Trump “looks” authentic. Why? Because although he plays to the crowd, he’s doing it in a different way than the typical politician. He’s not afraid to make controversial statements.
When other politicians say something that that makes people gasp and hyperventilate, they walk it back. When Trump does it, he is unapologetic.
My opinion: I want someone who apologizes for genuine mistakes. I want someone who does NOT apologize for holding unpopular views and opinions.
Why would the leading candidate bow out?...Maybe he doesn’t want to take the pay cut and let his business die without him?

The left heartily approves of Caitlyn having the “courage” to be “her real self” after years of obfuscating her cross-dressing drives; but Trump is not allowed to have evolved on pro-life or any other issue.

WEll I could certainly sympathize if he did but I’m sure Trump thought this all over before deciding to run. His kids are all moguls in waiting. I seriously doubt his business is going to die with them running it.
Slumming it in the Whitehouse for 4-8 years would be a downer if you are Trump. Though.
I doubt he would even take a salary.
He didn’t change on ‘everything’ very little actually.
4 years ago he wrote “Time To Get Tough” in it he is saying the exact same things he is saying today.
