[FULL TITLE] ‘How about respect for voters?’ Orrin Hatch gets pushback after telling senators to use ‘courtesy and respect’

Todd Zwillich ✔ @toddzwillichSenate
Pro team Orrin Hatch lecturing now on"courtesy and respect" after Ted Cruz called Mitch McConnell a liar Friday.

This call from Sen. Hatch for “courtesy and respect” comes after Sen. Ted Cruz called out majority leader Mitch McConnell Friday for telling him a “flat-out lie.”

Cruz took to the floor to comment on Sen. Hatch’s call for civility.

Boom.

At least he didn’t beat him to death with a cane.

Orin Hatch started out conservative.
Somehow he became best friends with Drunk Teddy and has never been the same.
He needed to have been put out to pasture in the last election.

Hatch, McCain and Coryn are working with Reid to keep them all employed and doing nothing.

The cause of so much of what is wrong in the world is that it's considered (mostly) OK to lie to people. And it is considered one of the worst crimes imaginable to say to a liar: "You lie". It's just not done.

Cruz broke that rule.

He called a liar a liar. All the powerful people are aghast at the truth-teller. His kind just isn't wanted in polite circles.

Advice from my attorney: It’s never a good idea to call someone a liar.

Hatch is a slimy hypocrite. This is what he said about a significant portion of the Republican electorate just a few weeks ago in reference to Cruz's reversal on TPA:

"I imagine that helps him with the far right," said Sen. Orrin Hatch (R-Utah), the Finance Committee chairman and co-author of the trade bill."

Just ask yourself, when was the last time that Hatch referred to Democrat voters as part of the far left.

Hatch, cornhole, mcconnell and the rest of the cabal are evil old men. They all need to go. The sooner the better and by any means possible.

"I imagine that helps him with the far right," said Sen. Orrin Hatch (R-Utah), the Finance Committee chairman and co-author of the trade bill."

Another of the superannuated lifetime "betters" from the House of Lords wing of the Corrupt Bastards Club lashes out at the hoi polloi. Not all that long ago, Orrin Hatch contemplated introducing a bill to ban flag burning in order to toss a basically worthless bone to the "far right," so I guess in a way he HAS "grown" in office…

He's grown brazen enough to not bother hiding his contempt for the rest of us, at any rate.

I din’t catch Hatch’s comments (I don’t watch the boob tube); did the jerk deny what McConnell told the Republican Senate caucus, as Cruz related on the floor? If Hatch did not deny the accuracy of Cruz’s account, then impliedly Hatch is not denying that McConnell lied, just that Cruz shouldn’t have pointed the lie out on the floor of the Senate.
