DO WE NEED THE RIGHT LEADERS, OR THE RIGHT PEOPLE?

Most of the Republicans attacking Donald Trump are missing the real significance of the Donald and his popularity. A lot of Republicans and independents don’t like establishment Republicans. They see them as an entitled elite that talks big but then compromises their principles in order to serve the interests of big business and to get along with their fellow social elites in the other party. They look at a Republican Congress’s record so far and see very little legislative pushback against an arrogant, lawless Progressive administration under which the federal Leviathan has waxed ever fatter and more intrusive.

Donald Trump is a liberal and that doesn’t have a damn thing to do with the fact that congress is a mess and won’t do anything to fix it.

Yet he has the highest ratings? Why?

Is it because of the “perception” there is no other conservatives out there or what?

Yet he has the highest ratings? Why?

Because his supporters are a bunch of morons who don't have the courage to look at his record. You clowns are making Obamabots look smart.

Great compilation.

I find interesting those who decry the waffling of Congressional GOPers and other Presidential candidates, but conveniently ignore Trump’s own chameleon-like switches on a variety of issues as well. On party ID alone, Trump has flipped and flopped like a landed striper.

But .. He says things that make people feel good... kind of reminiscent of 2008.

Trump may have the “lead” right now but which other candidate on the republican ticket has the gonads to say what he says, what the people know and want to hear? Damn few!

Cruz COULD be a good candidate providing the rino’s, more importantly the media, give him a chance. For now, Trump seems to be the ONLY one with those “gonads”.

Perhaps the pending “debates” may show a potential. For now, they are nothing but talking heads.

He’s getting a lot of liberal help in the polls. All my liberal family members are happily pimping him because its great entertainment watching “conservatives” commit suicide with a clown like Trump.

Rather, Mr. Trump is speaking what needs to be spoken and he is pushing the others who are running to start to speak out on the issues for a change.

“He’s getting a lot of liberal help in the polls.”

And he’ll continue to get that help until he feigns “outrage” at “disrespect” from the GOP and launches a 3rd party to divide the anti-Hillary vote. Donald’s friends the Clintons benefit most of all.

George Washington is reputed to have said “God grant that our principal men be men of principle.”

Alex de Toqueville (sp?) opined that democracies (and representative republics, apparently) die when the populace realizes they can vote themselves money from the treasury.

They were both right.

The delta between Trump’s rhetoric and his practice vis-a-vis illegals is a rather fundamental matter facing this country. You’re OK with that??

I was told the polls as taken use the identifier of Democrat, Republican, and Independent.

When assessing the race for the GOP nomination, registered (R) is what they looked for. My understanding is that Trump is gaining huge traction among the (R) designation.

That doesn't mean what you're saying is untrue, but remember these same democrats cheered when Reagan won the nomination, thought he would destroy the GOP, and that he would be easy to beat.

I wish I understood what Trump was doing, I really do. He's NOT simply a liberal, he's just all over the map, which is why I don't trust him yet.

If nothing else he's shown the other (R) candidates how to handle the media, he's showing the GOPe why you shouldn't play nice, and how to beat them as well as the dems. For that I am grateful and enjoying the show.

I just hope this doesn't bite us in the butt, I love what Trump has done for the race, just don't understand if he has another motive, nor do I trust him. We will see how this unfolds by early next year, it's too early to understand how this Trump phenomenon will play out.

Donald Trump has no coherent thoughts about the role of government in human affairs. He’s not a conservative in any sense of the word, and he’s not even a Republican. His position on any given issue will be different next month than it is today.

Since the President is not a king, he doesn’t get to run the country like a CEO. (Which is what Obama is trying to do, and it’s a monstrosity.) Trump, if elected, would find himself constrained by the same congressional forces that ought to be constraining the Presidency. In fact, my guess is that Trump in office would kow-tow even more to the DC-NY cocktail party circuit than Bush or Obama.

He’s energizing you all because he doesn’t talk like a politician, and that’s refreshing. I get it. But he won’t be elected, if elected he’d be an average RINO president at best, and the most likely outcome of his efforts is to put the Democrat nominee in the White House. (see Perot, Ross.)

But frustrated conservatives will have “sent a message” and will feel better.

So where was Donald Trump in 2008 when Ted Cruz went to the supreme court and got justice for Jennifer Ertman and Elizabeth Peña? To save you the trouble of looking it up, They were raped and murdered by José Ernesto Medellín and several other illegal alien gang members.

Ted Cruz faced down pressure from the Bush White house, Mexico, and lawsuits from the UN and international court to push ahead with the execution of Medellín. In winning that case there was justice for the victims and wins for Texas state and national sovereignty.

Of course Donald Trump says the right thing. Anyone who takes every position on every issue is bound to say the right thing every once in a while.

Next time someone tells me that no one has ever stood up for the victims of illegal alien crimes before, I want to staple a note to their forehead reminding them to breate because they really are that stupid.

I am OK with the scenario of a rabbit to a race. Trump is that rabbit right now going over and around the elites and media with a message that is proving out to be of the issues we want addressed. The rabbit will run out of steam at some point and I hope that point will be the debates but then again, Rush spoke about how horrible the debate system is and Trump will do something to upset the establishment apple cart.

Still, we are on lap 2 of a 250 lap race and I am extremely comfortable with his defining the political debate as few others have the stones to bring them up. If they do, they are silenced by the media and elites because they are playing the game. Trump is not playing a game and I personally believe he wants a lot to change, this is his way of shaping the debate.
