Fox News Radio host Todd Starnes finally answered the question that political pollsters have been struggling to answer: Why is Donald Trump so popular across so many demographic groups? His theory is that while "everybody is trying to be the kinder, gentler, you know, the compassionate conservative," that's not what the "average American" actually wants.
He broke it down further, using a dog analogy. "The average American," Starnes explained, "they don't want one of those metrosexual purse dogs, they want a pit bull in the White House." Donald Trump, presumably, is the pit bull. A candidate such as Jeb Bush, in Starnes' opinion, is the "metrosexual purse dog."

This is simply brilliant.
When I think back, every time I see Jebra, I feel like, “Arf arf”. The only problem is, there’s never a flight bag around when you need one.
In today’s Politics, Trump is nothing like a Liberal Democrat. Hillary Clinton is a Liberal Democrat.
Trump could be considered a Moderate Republican, just as Cruz is considered a Conservative Republican as is Jeff Sessions.
Just my opinion, but saying Trump is just like Hillary is nothing but hyperbole.
or closer to the mark, plain ol’ ignorance
I was too lazy to look up the ascii code :-)
It is wrong to make fun of his looks. Bash him for his politics but have enough class and taste to not bash him for his looks.
I got one of those rinsed prius GOP surveys, and the very structure of the survey and the wording of the questions tells me they JUST DON'T 'GET IT" at the GOPee.
I tired to fill the d@mned thing out, and finally ran it through the shredder. They probably wouldn't read it anyway, especially because I wasn't going to send them a check.
A,yup!
Good it will take a pit bull to lead our country and undo the damage Obama has done and to put the Constitution back as the law of the land ..
Have been looking around. Have you seen anything on the release of DTs book? Shep mentioned that he didn’t really think the reason DT didn’t go the cattle call in NH was legit but that he was up to something. Comment came just after his guest mentioned she thought DT was going to have to produce some facts sooner or later
Hmmmmm?
What a refreshing remark.
Finally, the media is waking up and actually start reporting facts.
Donald Trump went on “Morning Joe” the Friday before last and said that he identifies with some issues as a Democrat.
That’s almost word for word what he said years ago: “I identify as a Democrat.” You know, while he was registered as one, which incidentally was as recent as 2009.
Now, every time I put that forth to a Trump fan, I get, “Oh, but I feel” or “I think” or Trump “could be.” They just don’t want to hear the truth about Trump, and if you give it to them, they stick their fingers in their ears and hum to drown it out.
So it isn’t about what Trump “could be considered”. He’s telling you exactly what he is. So you keep on worshiping at his altar and crowing about wanting to pull the lever for a Democrat.
There’s your “ignorance.” Boat loads of it-—and deliberate to boot.
i don’t think he’s ever had his nose that close to it
Senator Rand Paul, rottweiler. Gov. Walker golden retriever.
so true
death-roes == death-throes
The choice is a pit bull or another democrat lap dog.
And because they are so relentless, they're also smart.
