Camille’s a Democrat, so it’s not surprising she’d think the guy who outliberals Jeb won.

Likewise, the libertarian Glenn Beck declared Rand the winner—and Rand was embarrassing.

http://www.foxnews.com/story/2005/07/01/what-happened-night-terri-schiavo-collapsed.html

Hannity interview with her father and Mark Fuhrman.

Not so much so as hard evidence other than the changing stories from her husband. He moves on, finding himself a concubine and fathering two children with the new honey while still married to Terry. He won’t divorce her because that would have returned custody back to her parents.

Does this sound like someone who had the best interests of his wife?

Kasich was a 9 time U.S congressman from Ohio. A seasoned politician with more actual hands on political time than most others. Yet he has difficulty raising substantial money when up against similarly ideological bent opponents.

If you think everybody is avoiding the egg shells around trump, they’re tip toeing around Kasich because any GOP nominee is going to need a Ohio.

Kasich and Bush with Bush leading the ticket. That’s all you get supporting Kasich. But that could a strategically powerful ticket. A popular governor (ex) from Florida and a popular governor from Ohio. Two must win states for any GOP presidential hopeful.

I love Camille but where she really shines is her take on American culture and art history and comparative religion. Her political analysis is closer to mine: a snapshot of the candidate’s persona, not an in-depth study of the issues. That can lead you down many wrong alleys I have found. And again, she’s supporting that O’Malley guy who is barely breathing.

I don’t believe Trump has anything to do with the Clintons. He’s been on the NYC scene for over 40 years now and he doesn’t work for anyone but himself. Successful NYers often play the Trump game: try to get to know every macher that you can, have your picture taken with them and invite them to your wedding and brag about how you hang with the big boys. If they can do you a favor, that’s great, but otherwise it’s meaningless.

“Does this sound like someone who had the best interests of his wife?”

Just sounds like somebody wearing a different pair of shoes than we do.

I’m not engaging in an ideological debate over it. I just never heard the “beat near to death” and was just wondering what factual basis there was, which apparently is none.

Although Kasich has some qualifying attributes on his CV for this endeavor, IMO the only reason he was on that stage was because the event took place in Ohio, he is the Governor and the GOP is desperate to win that state this go round. Sorry but to me his participation was a big fat zero. Between the mailman (twice) and the gay marriage response his presence withered quite rapidly.

Fair enough. I may have been hyperbolic but you cannot discount his actions by a different pair of shoes. That is just counter to what a caring and loving person does, especially when he can have all responsibility taken away but refuses to let someone else care for her while it is obvious he cares more for someone else.

Stand on the side of ALL life, if he didn’t want the continued responsibility, give it to someone who is pleading for it.

Gov Kasich is a big fan of common Core. My grandkids in Medina absolutely HATE Commoncore. They spend their math time drawing boxes and explaining how they got their answer before they can even write the answer down. History is worse. American history begins with the Vietnam War. Kids were told that what happned prior to the 60s have4 no baring on today’s world. But Black history is a must!Get Kasich outta there ASAP

"I like Camille but she’s off base in some of this analysis."

Heh, heh, I like Paglia too, but she's off base on a lot of things...political and otherwise. She's voted for Nader in a number of prez elections.

Religious conservative pols are not people she likes very much. She won't get into issues...notice she focuses on Jeb's bland personality rather than his stance on the issues. She'll do that with every pol who is not to her mind charismatic.

FYI I've read a number of her books. Fun reading, but that's about as far as it goes. Following Camille's wishes as far as sex would result in a type of American Satyricon.

You're absolutely wrong in saying that religious conservatives are disliked by Camille Paglia. She has spoken out aggressively in her support of evangelicals and their brilliant knowledge of the Bible. She is constantly at war with the cognicenti who put down religious Americans. Her knowledge of comparative religions is comprehensive and all-consuming. I would love for her to do a kind of Hillsdale College course on the subject. I wish I lived closer to Philly so that I could audit her classes. She was in a vicious war with Christopher Hitchens over his “God is not Great” book before he became ill. She STILL attacks him over his hatred of Christianity and other religions.

I really wish these question and answer sessions would stop being called “debates”, they are not debates. Nobody debates anything, they just answer slanted set up questions by an agenda driven leftist media. There are no winners or losers because there was no debate.

Agreed, but Jeb/Kasich ticket would be tough for Hillary to beat.

So? What would the difference be?

She may like some religious conservatives, but past comments from concerning religious pols leads me to believe she doesn’t like them much.

Do you have any quotes?

She has great respect for evangelicals’ knowledge of the Bible and distains those who put them down. There are many You Tube video interviews with her going on about this. She’s never singled out an individual preacher, she has only spoken about the e. movement in general. Look it up.

I don’t understand your question as everything I’ve had to say on the matter started with #23 and is now ending on this post.

My best answer, go back and read.
