Please read the whole thing. Pat thinks that Ted Cruz inherits the estate if Trump pulls out and has some other choice thoughts.

Of course Cruz will inherit the Trumpers.

Problem is, he has no idea what to do with them.

What bothers me most about the GOPe is that they do not comprehend how outraged the voters have become over illegal aliens being preferred to U.S. citizens who vote!

What part of illegal don’t the GOPe understand?

Shades of '64:

Goldwater slogan: In your heart, you know he's right!

LBJ Response: In your guts, you know he's nuts.

I heard this earlier today.

Buchanan is retarded.

It's the Yebster who is in serious trouble of creating a Goldwater magnitude loss. There is no way to drag his lard butt across the Nov., 2016 finish line.

Pat Buchanan, a loser, offering advice to Donald Trump a winner.

As to any thought of things falling to Cruz should Trump pull out, that’s fantasy. The GOPe hate Cruz with a passion.

A much more plausible scenario would be Ted Cruz joining Donald Trump should Trump go 3rd party.

I’m thinking the same thing on Trump and Cruz. But disagree on Fiorina. She’ll slip into the GOPe mold easy as pie.

Go, Trump, GO!!

Go, Cruz, GO!!

Let’s face it, Trump didn’t have much new to say. He does need to articulate things better. For example, I would say Huckabee was light years better in that regard, as was Cruz.

My concern is that Jeb! is sinking too fast. They still have enough time to run Mitt Romney.

So? Goldwater eventually led to Reagan.

Well, a significant number of Trump supporters will walk if the GOPe screws him out of the nomination. That is, if he has a plurality of delegates and votes, and they collude to give it to someone else.

I also know how to play poker so I am keeping my “Walk” option in reserve too. So, heres to you Pat Buchanan and the GOPe., It is fish or cut bait time and I am not going to be suckered by the establishment this time around and told to vote or else for the party’s ‘anointed lackey.

Later in the interview, after discussing ISIS policy, Buchanan stated that while “a conservative can win” and moderate candidates don’t get “the fire and the energy” behind them, “a significant slice of the Republican Party would take a walk” on Donald Trump “and you could have a Goldwater situation.” And “the same thing, to a lesser degree might happen with Ted Cruz.”
I've read that the only reason Ronald Reagan's nomination didn't turn into a "Goldwater situation" is because the Reagan campaign agreed to accept the Establishment candidate George Bush as his running mate. Along with many of the GOP insiders as support staff.

The Republican Party expects the base to fall in line for their chosen ones but have never returned the favor when the occasional conservative wins the nomination.

Hypocrites.

If Bush is the nominee, many in the GOP will stampede away from him.
