You’re right, McFrog. Or may I call you Buckeye?

Absolutely you stupid liberal whore. Ask the idiots in kalifornistan how it worked out for them when the community college district (Yosemite Community College) only charged $10 per unit? They couldn't keep it up, could they, you stupid bloody mindless twit!

Let's make this man president. We need a good old fashioned "reset."

And the rich liberals who are supporting him should pay for it, right? And the feckless C of C Republicans who are, “working with the Democrats to get things done should pay too.

The worst outcome of this will be the admittance of hundreds of thousands of know-nothings who skated through HS on social promotion who cannot hack a useful field of study at college. So universities will push them into “studies” programs from which they will graduate as Marxist and racist grievance mongers eager to completely destroy America. Such a program would hasten the fall and demise of the U.S. and further rend our already torn social fabric.

OMG...you’re right. That was an A=B and B=C so A=C piece that never even crossed my mind...

That guy makes me want to barf. Vermont is beautiful, just spent 10 days up there, but it is even more liberal than Massachusetts, but has the added burden of being a completely business-unfriendly state to boot.

Actually the European model is even more selective than that in some ways. People are put on track whether they are college bound or trade school bound as of junior high. High schools are divided by type, either being preparatory or trade style. You destiny is fixed that early over there. There’s no ‘screw around till junior year’ option available. There’s also pretty much no way to recover from being a screw off and going back to college as far as I know.

This doesn’t even mention how much harder (and better) their schools actually are (pre-university level, generally our universities are better).

Either is fine. The name is an homage to my birthplace (the Buckeye State) and my ethnic heritage (Irish and French).

I had a great-grandfather who emigrated from Paris to Wheeling, WV for reasons we’re still trying to figure out.
It does give me total immunity for bashing the French however.

What he actually said was, “I’ll send all the bills for the college education of the neighbors’ kids to you, John Q. Taxpayer.”

The insurmountable problem socialists like Bernie face is that capitalism produces the things they wish to “redistribute.”

Without capitalism there are no taxes and there are no “sustainable” jobs.

When he offers Free pot, it’s over. Even some Freepers would vote for him.

That’s funny (and probably true).

There are a lot of people on FR who think there is a positive aspect to this POS because he made some comments on immigration that they find attractive.

Bernie’s also sorta pro 2A. So for one issue voters, Bernie may just be your man. Also, I read earlier on this very thread - he may be for free pot for everybody!

And more US students will look for alternatives by studying overseas, as the quality of US Universities plummets.

Heh, well when you put it that way...

For years during the Cold War, I was pretty much a single issue voter on Defense, so I have no truck to criticize anyone else on being one issue voters...

The good thing was, most who stood up for strong defense were also good on other things I agreed with.

Sanders seems awfully inconsistent. Socialism and 2nd Amendment rights just do not seem to go together...usually, to make socialism work, they have to try to disarm you.

"he would fight as president to enact legislation making all public colleges and university in the country free."

Those free government educations will be just about worthless in the traditional job market, and if the government nationalizes the private sector they'll still be just about worthless.
