Thumbs up for Adblock Plus. The amazing thing is that some sites are unusable without it - what the heck are the site designers thinking?
thanks for that, just downloaded it
I’ve had several “block” alerts this morning. And they were blocked. Assclowns. Do something good instead of being little deviants P’sOS.

Thanks to freepers recommending Ad Block, I was able to actually log on to Comcast instead of watching the damn blue circle and getting a timeout.
Then, came two more helpful hints from our family IT guy.
Install the Chrome Browser and use Norton Safe Search with Ad Block before logging on any site with any Windows machine.
Those three aides/additions make my internet faster and safer.
On advice of our family IT guy, I installed Win 10 and use the Chrome Browser with Norton Safe Search. Now my ancient HP Desk Top Pavilion is all most as fast as my Acer Chromebook 15, which I’m using now. Win 10 is fast.
My Acer Chromebook by passes all of this bs re bad sites and malware.

A simple answer might be cui bono, or who benefits?
Google Ads and Yahoo and others really need better approval process for ads. I was on a site today that kept popping up javascript message boxes to try trick clicks.
It was so annoying I went out and re-installed adblock.
When you annoy people or allow damaging software, you encourage people to block all ads.
In defense of advertising, when done right, it supports great free internet services. I code several websites and use ads to cover my cost and hope to make a little money. It can work, but the abusers ruin a good thing.
