“RE: Proof positive this guy doesnt know what hes talking about...
Ted Cruz doesnt know what hes talking about then, he agrees with this guy.”
Cruz did remember to throw in that pesky “and subject to the jurisdiction thereof” part. That does make a difference.
14th amendment and birthright citizenship
Or Cruz should comment on Steve King's current bill in Congress, HR 140 introduced in January 2015. Every year such a bill has been introduced in Congress to eliminate birthright citizenship. There is no consensus among constitutional scholars that the 14th amendment needs to be amended. The only way to find out is to pass the bill in Congress.
The Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986 was an ... drumroll please ... amnesty.
We have always had United States Code, Title 8 “Immigration and Naturalization”.
We could simply enforce IT, but Uniparty wants another reform and control act.
And yes, they will have the monumental chutzpah to call it “comprehensive” in order to salve their own consciences.
It will allow this can to be kicked down the road to about 2030 when the next generation will curse our fecklessness when they are faced our problems, exponentially worse, and with 60 million “undocumented immigrants hiding in the shadows”.
Read how Ike handled the illegal problem as president:

So liberals think it's impossible to round up and deport 11.5 million illegal immigrants, yet they think that finding and confiscating over 310 million firearms is a piece of cake.
It's getting harder and harder to not use pejorative adjectives when describing liberals.
If you implement everything that is in Trump's plan on enforcement, most of the lawbreakers will leave.
The proponents of amnesty are wont to create the false choice between a blanket amnesty and mass deportation of 12 to 20 million illegal aliens. In reality, we have other choices and alternatives that dont reward people who have broken our laws with the right to stay and work here and an eventual path to citizenship. The 12 to 20 million illegal aliens did not enter this country overnight and they will not leave overnight. Attrition through enforcement works. We have empirical data from Georgia, Oklahoma, and Arizona proving that it does.
Trump would be playing into the hands of his opponents suggesting mass deportation, which is not practical nor would it engender more political support for his plan. Currently, Kasich is saying that Trump's policies are "inhumane" and then he conjures up the image of cars going thru Latino neighborhoods rounding up parents separating them from their families. Others have compared the mass roundup to the Jews and the Holocaust putting them on cattle cars to the border.
Politically and practically the best solution is attrition thru enforcement. As Trump says no more catch and release.
Right no mark.
