That is because it is the 5th most populous city in America. It doesn't change the fact that Phildelphian union thugs don't give a crap. That airport is a hell hole. I live in Central PA and when fly, I usually start out of MDT with a choice of connecting hubs. Logan and Philadelphia are my least favorite airports on the east coast. Atlanta is to be avoided due to weather delays in spring and summer. Laguardia is dreadful to get home on time on a Friday night due to air traffic. Chicago and Detroit are to be avoided in winter, particularly Detroit unless you want to spend a night in Windsor, ON. In general, flying in America sucks these days, but Philadelphia is one of the worst airports in America.
