Get a load of this. Many pensions are in hedge funds, and Trumps says he's going to impose a big tax hike on them!

>> There are plenty of people on FR who see the truth about
Trump.

You’re overstating an insight you believe to be exclusive to a minority here on FR.

To repeat what I’ve said elsewhere: It’s Trump’s rhetoric that is relevant; the bold, commonsense message he’s delivering with few at his side. Should he implode for inauthenticity, that’s his problem, but the energy supporting his message is nonetheless profound.

We all agree identity politics suck, but be sure you’re not fighting identity alone.

Oh, terrific, more Democratic talking points.

Why Hillary Clinton is going after hedge funds

"Hillary Clinton's got a problem with hedge fund managers -- or at least with the way they're taxed.

The expected frontrunner for the 2016 Democratic presidential nomination is avoiding policy specifics for now, but the taxation of hedge fund managers -- an elite class of investors who will no doubt pour millions into Clinton's second White House bid -- has been an early exception.

"There's something wrong when hedge fund managers pay lower tax rates than nurses or the truckers that I saw on I-80 as I was driving here," Clinton told a small group of roundtable participants in Monticello, Iowa, this week."....

Hillary Clinton: We Need To Get Unaccountable Money Out Of Political System, "Even If that Takes A Constitutional Amendment"

" We need to fix our dysfunctional political system and get unaccountable money out of it once and for all, even if that takes a constitutional amendment."....

Trump will not get rich donors to contribute since Trump will not promise quid pro quo. Only his close friends, many of whom are mega rich, will donate without expecting command and control.

And you know this HOW?..

TRUMPs.... cheeze slid off his craker... when he promised to raise TAXES on the Hedge Funds..

AND by the way what OTHER taxes will he raise?...

And not only that but HOW can a President raise taxes except by having “bitch” Congress -Like Barry Obama has..

You know...... An Unconstitutional One..

Getting bumpy... Trumps losing bricks off his tailgate..
MiGHT lose the full load.. the liberal is sneaking out..

It’s Trump’s rhetoric that is relevant;

He's repackaging leftism and selling it as conservatism. What little conservative ideology left in the country is being drained and swarms of the dissenters are being co-opted into the establishment - and apparently they the bold, commonsense message he’s delivering with few at his side.

I dob't think it's bold or common sense, and I very much think the authenticity matters. Right now he's hijacking the entire party's dialogue to carry a message that Hillary or Jeb could carry. The only message her is the media is tirelessly promoting Trump. If they wanted to, they could mostly ignore him.

Should he implode for inauthenticity,

No, it will be all our problems. After 2008, 2012, and 2016, it may be the last stand for conservatism in a major party. Maybe it is anyway, but it's worth a fight?

And he would still be a much better president than open borders, pc feminist embracing, wifes gay supporting, George Will(democrat) influenced, GOP established Walker the boring nothingburger.

What they call conservative in Wisconsin would be leftist in southern states and fly over states. Its a blue obama state and will go blue this next election. I have been to Wisconsin a few times and was so happy to get out of that liberal shytehole and back to Tennessee. The reason Trump does well here is because we want the borders and immigration dealt with, our country is being invaded we are losing it and people who break the law should not be coddled.

I don’t believe it’s exclusive, and I don’t believe it’s a minority. The people who support Trump are loud and behave like the candidate himself, but if you watch the people who are not for him are sizable in number. And about half of the people who vehemently support Trump will bristle if you say they are Trump supporters. It’s int he doldrums of summer more than a year before an election. This is more about the smoke and mirrors of the media. Someday not so far off, hardly anyone will even remember the sense we have today. Most of Trump’s “supporters” won’t just deny they supported him, they will probably think they didn’t support him in their own mind.

The major legacy of this summer flirtation will be the establishment of the GOP will go into primary season fresh and invigorated, and the right will be listless and enervated.

Thats true, but he is the one of only ones thats serious about securing our borders. The others just flip flop around and will continue to do so. Cruz or Trump are the only options, otherwise they are no use voting.

Even a stopped clock is right twice a day. There’s nothing wrong with wealth. There is something wrong with big donors to superPACs getting special treatment.

I’m sure Clinton wants to reshuffle the deck so that ‘Rat candidates get more of that money, if she’s serious about changing it at all. More than likely she’ll talk left and leave ‘em alone if she gets elected. Just like the GOPe...run conservative campaigns and keep the money coming once elected.

There is nothing anti-conservative about wanting a fair playing field and keeping a wary eye on “crony capitalism”.

It’s true that Trump may be no better than the Libs or GOPe when it comes to taking a place at the Wall Street trough if he gets elected. Maybe his billions aren’t enough and he wants more.

Still, there’s a chance he’s really serious about changing the game, and that’s more than you get with GOPe or ‘Rat.

So the response to that is to support someone whose only criticism of Romney was the he was too tough and mean on immigration. Trump employs more illegals than all the other candidates combines and he hired one of the biggest amnesty lobbyists in politics to be his campaign manager. The chance Trump would be tough on immigration are about as much as Obama decide to cut taxes by 50%

Boy oh boy, Trump's boast about his ability to separate the good from the bad donors, must really be a punch in the gut for you to spew such a load.

BTW, I'll touch on one of your Trump campaign Democrat talking points.

As Scott Walker has stated, "going forward" no amnesty, we seal the border (using all options), enforce the laws, remove the magnets (6 months - June 2011- into his 1st term Walker was the first and only governor to revoke instate tuition for illegals, secure jobs for American citizens [legal immigration must also be adjusted down], E-verify and then look at other options. And this is about more than illegal immigration, it's about national security.

Ah...the old “stopped clock” defense.

Seems to me that’s scrapping the bottom of a rotten reality show barrel when it’s used to help Trump pass conservative muster.

Betting (in believing) on what Trump “says.” when there is so much evidence (decades of history) to the contrary, is crazy.
