I really do like what he is saying about the border and immigration, and I agree with it. I just don't trust him.
Does “telling the truth” imply being “mean spirited” ?
It’s wrong when a politician has to be afraid of saying something about an illegal immigrant because that illegal immigrant won’t vote for him. He shouldn’t be allowed to vote.
I think we should propose letting Mexico vote in our elections. Hell, the let Houstonians vote in New Orleans elections.
So, does unwelcoming to minorities translate to “treat them as individuals with their own minds and not pander to them as if they are special children incapable of running their own lives”?
What the hell? This is almost exactly the same column this douchebag wrote a week or so ago. Are they just recycling crap now?
Donald Trump is not “mean spirited”. Far from it. He is showing he cares more about working Americans than either the republican elites or the democrats. People see that but the press is blind.
Now he wants a wall with a really nice door for the good ones (I.e. Amnesty). No inconsistency with his earlier position except Mexico pays for a wall.
You have a point. I don’t trust him but at the same time, I don’t trust any of the other candidates as well. I’m also tired of being burned by the GOP. If Trump turns out to be this so called “Trojan Horse” as some have said, it would be hard to tell him apart from the rest of the GOP.
Until then, I will enjoy watching him attack the establishment, the media lap dogs and others.
It doesn’t matter he said this in 2012, Trump is by far the most consistently conservative candidate in the race and he takes to Twitter to beat the living crap out of people and I’m pretty sure he’s going to deport illegals, so we really need him in the White Hut in 2017. </s>
If Romney’s policy was “mean-spirited”, then what is Trump’s?
Actually, it might not be a bad idea to implement both. That’s called comprehensive immigration reform.
That was then. Four more years of constant strife, racial division, being told we’re not just wrong but evil have changed things. The electorate (us) is actively ticked off and have found a candidate that reflects that anger.
Trump is just making it up as he goes along. His positions change continually, and when called out on it he claims to be the 2nd coming of Reagan.
Now all the sudden the Bible is his favorite book, this coming from a guy who claims he’s never asked for forgiveness. Many of the things he criticizes his competitors for now, he supported or otherwise echo’d in the past.
I can’t imagine Trump in office the first day Congress or the Courts tell him no. He might think he can direct the military to arrest all his “stupid” and “dumb” political opponents because they aren’t as “great” or “terrific” as he is. The really sad thing is many Trumpettes would probably support such action.
He’s a fraud. He’s not only not consistent; he’s purposely misrepresented his past positions and flipped and flopped on this and other issues.
Haven’t heard even one mean spirited remark. In fact he has been remarkably laid back.
Ditto! Trump is a populist huckster and that appeals top some folks. LOL
Instead it backfired. The general support for building a wall and enforcing immigration law recoiled against the press.
Considering he is a liberal, no conservative should.
“Making America Great Again” is a very positive message.
